Nice fishing on the surf Han. My humble take on your reasons of breakage. The breakage on the leader or line is normal as we don't know the exact reason as it is constantly in the water undergoing external depreciation and we can't help it while fishing. A sure way to tell that the line is ok is to , reeling out the line completely from the spool on land and than reeling it back with the fingers and eyeing the line will tell you if there is damage done to your line . High sticking will not hold the theory on line breakage and in practice , by bringing up the rod to a more vertical position , it creates a better tangent to have lesser friction . In normal fishing conditions where the fish is not running into the rocks , it is a good practice to let the drag and rod to fight and tire the fish . This will also prolong the life of the gear train thus making the reel sustain a longer usage period. Btw, did you notice the guy throw away the tools over a fish. Enjoy . I like your cheerful smile

My suggestion is to use a 2016 bg 3000 with a lighter rod to spin and 30 lb braid attached . Below 10 kg fishes is not a problem . If you do encounter very big fish and also in surf fishing usage , you can use the 4500 . Sizes from 300 to 3000 is the normal reel used for spinning due to the weight. Catching 10 kg and above fishes happens once in a while as a land based angler . Most anglers buy big big reels in the hope of catching monstrous fish at the expense of quality fishing experience. Most never gave a chance to fight the fish due to using big reels and tightening the drag . By playing the fish , one can learn the capability of the reel , rod , line and the experience. The synergy of fishing is learned through trial and error . Experience is a very Good teacher. Bro , smile please.

Bro it was windy I was casting 30- 60M based on lure, it was laser pro 120 I lost, it was a waste bag, the leader line scratched in sand and cut the line, sorry for video being small I thought just showing open sea will be boring we will have more dynamic videos for future
