Doug Pow Biochar Cows Dung Beetles Avocado trials

Doug Pow, farmer in Manjimup in the south west of WA, describes his method of adding Biochar to his cows' feed, and then using dung beetles to bury it and he speaks about the many benefits this is having on his soil and agriculture.

Sincere apologies for the lack of response to your question. Doug was also running avocado trials and I believe that projest has also developed considerably in the last 4 years. We are looking into an update and will let subscribers know when it comes available. :)

How do you get the cows to eat the biochar. Do you have to add syrup or just add with regular feed?

hi, I'm so sorry I haven't responded to your question. Doug was using a locally sourced form of biochar from a mineral sands producer or similar. We are working on an update and we'll get back to you about this. Apologies again for the late reply!
