Very nice, I'm jealous. The newer stuff in nsw we were getting when I was still active looks like a dinosaur to this. That hydro remote nozzle at the front would be great for quick running stuff without having to haul hose everywhere.

Looking forward to receiving one of these next year hopefully. Where can we find details of the cab chassis? (ie, GVM, turning circle, engine performance etc)

If i remember correctly the Crew Protection Sprayers (CPS) System will last approximately 45 minutes, which is plenty of time for a fire front to pass. To ensure there is enough water to operate these sprayers there are both visual and sounded warnings. To answer your first question, what price would you put on human life? Exactly, it shouldn't matter how much these trucks cost to make, as long as they are making the job of saving lives and assets safer for those risking their lives to do so.

Most cases they only get 5 minutes. As that's there reserve that is saved.

Hi, a two stage pump delivers a higher volume of water than a single pump.

The Incompetence astounds me, A two-stage pump does not deliver more volume it delivers more pressure!

Oh, and until you have been under such a system in a burnover i do not believe you have the right to make such a false statement, seeing as that 'piece of material' is a miracle maker. Thank you very much for your input of you opinion i hope i am corrected if anything i have said is in any way wrong :)

Why a two stage pump instead of single pump?

quick question though. How much is every truck going to cost vs what they were costing?
That outdoor system will not keep you safe in a burnover. The chances of surviving a burnover in the cab is low letalone just under a piece of material with sprays and how long do you think they will last espcially if your tank is already low from firefighting.
I mean its a nice truck and all but some of the stuff is just over the top and isn't even practical

crunchie2able it’s very high, CPS systems are good up to 800 degrees while keeping internal temperatures below 40.

so here we are in 2020 if tankers have water pumps that fire water witout getting out of truck why did the fire fighters get caught in there trucks and have to leave the truck

obviously don't know much about the different types of trucks and that specific incident that occurred in NSW. that truck was a pumper that is used primarily for structure fires etc. A Tanker is used for bushfires and grassfires primarily and so they are fitted with protection systems like cab protection sprays and monitors at the front. the case that happened last year where they had to exist the truck because it stopped working was due to them not having the right type of truck for the incident in my opinion. if they were in a tanker they could have put protection sprays on and rolled down actual heat curtians which would of given them a better chance

450lpm monitor is a toy, 2350lt tank is less than our household weekly water consumption. Stop wasting our money. Get rid of all your gadgets & cabinets and carry some BLOODY WATER!!!!
