South African living in NZ here, loads of Aussie mates. Eric is a phenomenal actor. To me, The Dry, is the Aussie film. Watched a lot of SA films and NZ films, the Aussie film industry is head and shoulders above both. Having experienced real drought, I thought The Dry nailed it. The land itself becomes a character. We have small towns in South Africa that are virtually a carbon copy of the town in The Dry, this film spoke to me on so many levels. So many great Aussie films, Mad Max, Gallipoli, Breaker Morant, Chopper, etc... Really happy to see a film like this succeed internationally. Can't wait to see the new one. Also loved the interview, much appreciated!

Eric Bana used to be a legit standup comedian before he became an actor. I saw him do a show in Brisbane, either 1997 or 1998 and not only was he hilarious he might have been the funniest dude I have ever seen live. He was top notch.
He was definitely one of the better guys on Full Frontal. He did a great Ray Martin 😂 His talk show was kinda mid, but I reckon that’s just producers not giving him space.
Great interview. Eric is in the league of Robert Downey jr, a genius actor. When he portraid Chopper, Chopper was a person we were all intimately familiar with, and Eric himself was also the biggest thing on Australian television in a sketch comedy role. We forgot all that and saw and believed Chopper was on the screen. Truly amazing actor, and he seems to be a top bloke to boot
I really love seeing Aussie content - just in general. We always bat WAY above our grade, our sports stars and movie stars are amongst the world's best... and there's HEAPS of great stories amongst our community. Great to see Mark Bouris getting into the podcast world, I'd like to see many more interviews with great Aussies. Eric Bana is just a legend. Breaking into Hollywood, being a legit superstar for a period of time, but always living in Aus and keeping himself grounded at home - what a great dude. Huge respect.
Erica Bana is one of my favourite actors. I always checkout what films he is in because I know he will give a measured, considered performance and does not choose "bubblegum" projects. His films always seem to have a spine to them and a narrative that weaves throughout the storyline.
I find Eric Bana very engaging as an actor in whatever role he's in & have watched all his films (some several times). What a cool guy & being an Antipodean I do appreciate actors who retain their accent, self deprecating & down-to-earth personality/foundation when they have reached the top tier in acting. Looking forward to all future 'Bana' endeavours!

Yeah The Dry was a little gem of a movie, man. Especially in the torrent of absolute shit coming out in the woke era, a film that was well written, cast, acted and shot is a minor miracle.😁
