Hi Mrs Paula. Hope you already shook off the negativity and hurt feelings. There will always be ugly people that cannot stand to see someone so full of life and sharing it with those that enjoy your vlog and at the same time have learned so much
Thank you Paula for not giving up on your TH-cam channel. You inspire so many of us. God is using you in ways to reach people like. I always felt like a loser. I hated myself.Today I am not at my goal weight (still have 20 lbs) to get off. I am a bariatric surgery patient from 15 yrs ago. At the time my health was bad. After much praying about the surgery I did have it, Praise God everything went well.and I loss 100 lbs. But over the past 4 years I also gained about 45 lbs back, Then I began keto lifestyle. I love following keto. I am not perfect and there are days I struggle as I’m not able to eat a lot at one time, I struggle eating beef but try to get as much protein in as I can, when I had my bariatric surgery, they told me it’s not a cure all. I need to use the surgery as a tool to teach myself the correct amount of foods and the proper low carb foods to change my bad eating habits. Surgery isn’t a cure all to get skinny . People need to know my decision to have the surgery was at the point it was necessary to help me extend my life as I was a type 2 diabetic on insulin & 3 other diabetes meds, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, I had uterus cancer at age 28 & lung cancer 7 years ago. (never smoked day in my life) , Had two ACL tears in both knees from falling & was going to be heading to knee replacements by the time I turn 50 if I didn’t do something about it my life was going to keep going down hill. I don’t regret having my surgery as my husband & I prayed for months before I had it done & God gave us the peace that I should have it done. It did save my life but now Only I can help myself to go forward and choice my healthier lifestyle using the keto way of eating is just another tool I am using to reshape my life. I praise God for guiding me & helping me with the knowledge that I’m learning from our keto community. From the bottom of my heart, I just love you and pray you will continue doing what your doing to help me walk in the healthier lifestyle.
Paula you did the right thing for that wonderful elderly couple. I still bake for the holidays for my family and give it away because they love my baked good. My secret is I bake the same thing but Keto because my husband is a diabetic. And I always have a sweet tooth so it helps to make Keto. I won’t lie I still taste the regular stuff. But then I feel the inflammation because I have RA. Your hubby is right they are 93 years old, so let them enjoy themselves with their biscuits and gravy. And relax God loves you! Love hearing you and Ed on your videos. God bless you two. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🥰❤️
I think it’s wonderful that you made the biscuits for your neighbor; I make things for people that they like even though I don’t eat it. I think we just all need to respect each other and not criticize.
What a wonderful neighbor! Great story, thank you for sharing! 😅 I wholeheartedly agree that people should look into at least trying the keto route before beriatric surgery. There's nothing wrong with communicating this wonderful option. It doesn't hurt to try. Thank you for another GREAT and ENJOYABLE video! 😊
I love your videos and the biscuit story made my night. So funny! My mother had friends and they were known as Mama and Papa . Every morning Papa had ham and redeye gravy for breakfast. Someone told Papa that stuff was going to kill him. Well, it finally did when he was 99.
Your testimony helped me look at how carbs make me feel. I had sugar 2 days in a row last week. I swelled up and was so inflamed, 5 lbs worth. My body hurt all over. My first thought was how much what you’ve said about carbs and how the make you feel was just how I felt. I’ve been on this low carb journey 9 months. I never want to go back to that pain I was in. I love you videos as I said before. Your ARE helping many people. Not to mention shining His light! Also, your recipes have really helped my husband and I!
The best part about eating foods that make you hurt is you learn what causes you pain and what your body wants you to stay away from. I’ve done that before. Keep going. It’s 💯 worth it. Thank you so much!!
Thank you for being on today..People just don't have any compassion.. Those people are not Christians..Hope you hang in there..Love you and Ed..Thank you for all you do for us..❤ Lydia from NM..
I so enjoy the chats and the stories. I completely understand your not wanting to make the biscuits and gravy, but you did a kind deed for a lovely couple who really enjoyed it. This was so fun to watch. You and Ed tell it like it is and I appreciate that.
I agree with you Paula, I'd have a hard time making any of my old "treats" for anyone as a gift anymore. My kids know that I won't do it as well. And I 100% agree with Ed about bariatric surgery- I have several friends that have had it- they are all heavy again.
Thank you for the kind comment ❤️ I was actually judged very badly for posting this. I deleted the people but come on it was just a funny story . Thank you
Dear Paula and Ed, Thank you for such a funny and real “peek” into your relationship. My husband and I have been married for almost 39 years and it’s such a blessing to be able to be secure enough in the bond that you share that you can be honest and laugh about yourselves. It’s such a testimony of the grace of God. It’s a miracle that any marriage survives. It’s two sinners trying to live together, after all! The fact that you are obviously head over heels crazy about each other and confident enough to share the “real” is just delightful. I laughed out loud as I listened! 🥰❤️
I love my silicone muffin tin. The first couple time I made the french eggs I did in a non-stick metal pan and even though I sprayed they stuck. So easy with the silicone pans
You are the reason I'm alive! I have so many health problems and I know Keto will solve most of them. It's hard for me to stick to because I have an eating disorder, but you and Ed and your recipes have allowed me to stick to healthy eating and saving my life!!!
I know Paula, how you felt about making the "poison", non keto buiscuts and gravy for those wonderful neighbors! I felt the same way when I moved to take care of my 85year old mother. I was going to "home make" all the good low carb food for her and make all her meals from scratch and healthy. I really didn't want to feed her ANY junk food! After being pressured to feed her some lower quality foods, plus my mom only will eat a limited amount of healthy meals, I have reconciled myself to letting her have some less healthy foods. I was told she is 87 yrs old and should be able to enjoy her food. I still wish all her meals were high quality, but she won't eat that 100%. Anyway, after I got used to that idea, I felt better about it and it was nice to see her enjoy her meals, But at first, I was very resistant, like you were. Thank you for sharing that story!!! Please keep the you tube channel, it helps soooo many people!!😀Love you guys!
Hi Paula, i just wanted to let you know how much by being keto has also helped my mental health, i don't know if people actually realize that by eating this way it has helped my anxiety and depression, that alone is so worth it. Thank you for all you do, i love your videos.❤ Lisa
What a fun and relaxing video! If I lived in such a beautiful spot, I would be walking everyday just to be in that gorgeous nature! Even in winter. I walk as much as I can and always outside! It bores me to tears to do a treadmill or inside bike! Nothing like Southern Biscuits and Gravy but I get where you come from. Tonight I made mash potatoes and gravy for my husband and I absolutely did not have any. I just said “Not worth that pain.” He is on Hospice so he gets what ever he wants. And he would NEVER eat what I eat anyway. Makes it hard sometimes to fix two totally different meals and you are blessed to have Ed be accepting and joining you in your journey. Makes it so much easier for you I am sure. I thought you were heading home today? Maybe it is how the videos fall and you are already home. You two always seem much more relaxed and happy there at your lake house!
You guys are the best. You see people so appreciate the things we do for them and being an older couple I’m sure they😮feel like your their kids. I wish you were my neighbor. I’m so glad you’re continuing your videos and this coffee time. I love it. God Bless you both. You guys are so amazing.i a, trying hard to follow the Low carb and that’s why I enjoy you…💕
Love the coffee chat ❤ also Ed is so right! Anyone struggling could follow along with allll of your what I eat in a day. It’s not hard. You don’t feel restricted.
There is so much negativity on the internet. You will continue to be blessed as you pursue this wonderful channel. Lifting you up to our Father today for strength to keep on, keeping on. Love your recipes and the knowledge you share. Love you both!
Like my 90 year old grandmother who raised me from 6 weeks old said, “You’ve gotta be strong” and “no matter what is happening, think about the CROSS”. If you think about the cross through any situation, well you can get through, ANYTHING!
I was so excited to see you had put up a video night. It really made my night. I absolutely love your story about the biscuits and gravy. You and Ed have a wonderful marriage. Y’all are so cute together. I just love it!
Paula thank you for sharing your neighbor story! I laughed the whole time😂. My husband and I have been married for 42 years now and You and Ed sound just like us😂😂. Thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you! I thought it was hilarious but apparently a few viewers were offended and think I was arrogant and talk to my husband like a child 😂 we literally had the best laugh over what happened.
Currently watching this, & 6:04 tears are falling from my eyes, I've watched your many episodes ( if called that) by my own understanding & omissions, you (PAULA & HUSBAND ED) truly have A wonderful gift to ( as you say chatting)
Cute story about the biscuits and gravy. I feel the same way. The only way to think about that is to realize not everyone does or has to eat the way we do. Thank you for sharing.
You did a sweet deed for your neighbor. I would be like Ed… gotta have a little gravy and biscuits. My mom raised 7 kids on gravy and biscuits. We loved it. I agree that this way of eating would be so much better than the surgery. My husband lost 70 lbs eating the keto, but he now eats popcorn and fig newtons and a lower carb diet. He hasn’t gained any weight back and I cannot get him to go back to strict keto. Thanks for sharing!
Great story! It is nice to please others with something so simple! My daughters love my lasagna and ask for it it for special occasions. Over the years I have tried changing products like low fat cheese, low fat cottage cheese, etc but they always say” Please Mom,we want the original,if we are going to have it we want everything “. It is hard to do it after being on keto but it pleases them. Thanks for sharing!🇨🇦
It's funny because I have felt we were kindred spirits from the very first time I watched one of your videos. I grew up in Georgia until I went to college. I'm 76 years old and I've been married now for 52 years. And today I found out that you came from West Virginia. that's where I was born and my Daddy's side of the family come from. I'm going to work on a keto biscuit recipe for you. I'll let you now when I get it perfected. God bless you both.
Block those negative commenters! I, for one, look forward to your videos and find them inspiring. I have learned so many great food shopping and recipes from you!
At 93 yrs old clearly they are doing something right! I imagine their potion sizes are small unlike me I'd probably eat at least 3 biscuits with gravy! LOL! I'm sure you blessed them very much!
I believe you went through this so you can help other people. The people that don't like the small talk can move on. You two are being so real. It's real life. I think that Ed hit the nail on the head about the surgery. Don't ever give into the nay sayers. Love what you are doing for us. Have a blessed day.
Just remember Paula, this is your channel. People come to listen to you. I think there are people who delight in going to channels to leave negative comments to see reactions. They can hide by the anonymity of the Internet. They would never say any of it if they were face to face with you. It's truly sad but I'm glad you rose above it and are carrying on! We love you and Ed!!
😂 Paula I laughed at your story of the biscuits and gravy today. I kind of do the same. My family is not keto and they love the rolls I used to make for special occasions. At Christmas I had to make them for my family as it is a tradition. I couldn’t disappoint them but I definately felt guilty while making them. LOL
Laughing my head off listening to your biscuit story. That’s so funny Paula. Your neighbors sound like real gems. Gotta love people like they are. Good for you that you made your biscuits and gravy for that elderly couple. Ed is so right re age. This video made my day. I would’ve made it as well. Bless your heart. It’s so great you can look back and laugh at this one. What a great memory especially for your Korean neighbors.
I'm glad you broke down and made the biscuits and gravy dor your lovely neighbors. I make non keto/carnivore food all the time for my non ketovore family all the time. They enjoy a lot of my ketovore recipes, but when they want biscuits and gravy or whatever, I make it. The hardest part is not tasting for seasoning. My hubs is happy to volunteer to do that for me, lol.😊
Thank you for sharing and it was a funny story and completely understandable because to say no to a man in his 90s on his birthday that would be real hard to do no matter how strongly you felt
I do that folding technique on my biscuits too. i'm thinking as i watch this video, everything happens for a reason Maybe the reason is that you develop a biscuit and gravy recipe for us!!!!!!
I can’t believe what a difference the paint makes. The last part of the video with Ed and the view of the kitchen, gorgeous! The blue glass at the top makes everything sparkle, so do you!
I LOVED this video because as a believer I saw how He took your sad feelings and turned them into happy feelings overnight!❤️ Then, as a personal chef, being in this lifestyle for so long, sometimes I feel so guilty making food for people that I feel so strongly against! But I had to realize I can’t change their way of eating but I can bless them with the food they love, even though it’s bad! You definitely blessed that couple!!💕
Oh, that was a nice story! There are people that can eat anything and it does not affect their health. I make sourdough bread for my hubby once a week, using Organic Einkorn flour, and some times I taste the crumbs, LOL. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and it is really, really bad, everything is difficult for me. I do not eat any carbs at all, trying to get better, and hopping it will work for me. I started along time, but Covid hit us in March last year, I just thinking about meat made me nauseating, so I had to consume carbs for a month that the effects of the illness lasted. After that I started over with my healthy way of eating, praying that I do not get sick again. That is my story, not funny, but my reality. Thank you for all your hard work, be blessed
I love watching y’all❣️So encouraging and entertaining! I am not as strict as I should be and my husband is so disciplined! We do enjoy this way of eating. We do feel better. I have no more inflammation, colitis and less headaches.
It’s my understanding that when you get the surgery you have to dramatically modify your diet/lifestyle. So it makes sense to me to try the modifications first and see if that helps before you go through surgery.
I’m glad you are here! Just think! The negative comments are not the spirit of God. However these people are still watching and listening! Your faith and advice can be doing a work you haven’t even imagined!
Yes on Bariatric. I've heard of many people stretching out their stomachs plus I've noticed people who had it that just don't look healthy. A couple of ladies at our local grocery store...they look so saggy and pale. Also another quick rant. Thanks for listening. When I went away this winter, my one scuba diving friend who previously complained about women not supporting other women when they lost weight. She had lost a bit and none of her family congratulated her. I did. Then I lost weight. Not a word from her except this year she says how long have you been "that" weight. I'm at my highschool and goal weight. She asked if I did keto and I said yes. She looked at me with disgust and said you know that's going to kill you. She is probably over 100 lbs a weight and very inactive, yet I'm the unhealthy one. Just wanted to share and rant.
I should have never shared the story. I’ve gotten a lot of hate for it. It’s been literally ridiculous. Guess we are being too open with our lives. Time to become generic
I love the biscuits and gravy story. I think it’s sweet you made it for that couple. I’m sure it was worth it to make them happy. I’m glad you aren’t leaving TH-cam. I work from home and always enjoy watching your videos while I work. I love the chatty videos. Makes me feel like I’m in your living room with you guys! 😊 💕
Don't ever apologize or feel bad for being real. The world needs more of that, not less. There's already an over abundance of fake and it helps no one. Thanks for explaining your dogs name, I always did wonder where it came from, I had never heard it before. Where you live looks like a dream to me. Your biscuit story is hilarious, I know exactly what you mean by thinking you're poisoning people with "regular" cooking but Ed's right, they're 93 and they would eat it elsewhere they might as well eat homemade from you rather than store bought or restaurant quality. Ed was being quality control for you. I have a separate cupboard where I keep the "regular" stuff for the occasional time I bake something for someone who isn't keto. Could you use carbquick to try and make biscuits? A friend of mine had bariatric surgery and in my opinion it was the worst thing she could have done. She lost weight but all the health complications that came with it in my opinion was not worth it. She's anaemic , always cold, her vitamin levels are all wacky. She can't keep her blood sugar levels stable, so she can't drive because of that, she's a mess. She's malnourished, her stomach actually came apart once after the surgery and she had to have more surgery to repair it. We're lucky she's alive. If you don't work on the reasons you're so overweight in the first place you will not be successful. Losing weight is such a small part of the journey. Love your chats, keep being real and continued good health to you both.
Paula there is a coffee shop in our town that makes the best scones. When I go with my exercise friends they will take one and split it into 6 pieces and they share it. They used to tell me just have a taste. I know that if I take one bit I will take two home to eat later. Best to not take a taste.
Thank you to you both for making me smile and even giggle, I absolutely love your videos and look forward to a new one , I am a type 2 diabetes and have been trying to eat low carb, but please tell me what is the things I can eat? Like can I have onions a bell peppers with my egg. I put bacon cut up in them as well, I need help. Thank you for all you do.
I have a grocery list on my website that has a list of food ideas. I eat onions and peppers. I also have a playlist of what I eat in a day videos with ideas. My website is lowcarbrevelation.com
Love you two. I have been following you for only a short time. I must say I like the way you are eating now and by that I mean eating more often. Getting your protein in is key and personally I couldn’t do it only eating 2 meals a day. ❤❤
Hi Paula. Just a quick note to say that I’m halfway through yesterday’s video and just a little bit through this one. I am at the hospital everyday so it’s hard to keep up. Please keep your chin up. You’re blessing so many people. I know it hurts. You deserve so much credit for putting yourself out there. Thanks for the explanation of your dog’s name. I have been curious, lol. I am not sure I’d be spelling it correctly, lol but I was curious. I am now reading the Book of Acts but have read it before. I’m glad your dog is a gem! Off to the hospital yet again. God bless. ❤❤
Two years migraine free would make anyone stand firm on a way of eating that has healed your body. Paula, those making many insensitive comments do not know the personal price you have paid to get here!!! Just keep being you! ♥️🙏🏻
Hi Mrs Paula. Hope you already shook off the negativity and hurt feelings. There will always be ugly people that cannot stand to see someone so full of life and sharing it with those that enjoy your vlog and at the same time have learned so much

Hi Ajay ❤️
Hi Ajay
Like my 90 year old grandmother who raised me from 6 weeks old said, “You’ve gotta be strong” and “no matter what is happening, think about the CROSS”. If you think about the cross through any situation, well you can get through, ANYTHING!
Love it! Thank you

Thank you! I thought it was hilarious but apparently a few viewers were offended and think I was arrogant and talk to my husband like a child 😂 we literally had the best laugh over what happened.
Currently watching this, & 6:04 tears are falling from my eyes, I've watched your many episodes ( if called that) by my own understanding & omissions, you (PAULA & HUSBAND ED) truly
have A wonderful gift to ( as you say chatting)
Thank you ❤️
I genuinely enjoy your channel and look forward to seeing what you’re up to. Keep the recipes coming.
Thank you! I always appreciate your kind comments
Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️ I don’t do too well with almond flour anymore.
Block those negative commenters! I, for one, look forward to your videos and find them inspiring. I have learned so many great food shopping and recipes from you!
Thank you! I tell you people can be so mean
Thank you for not giving up. I look forward to your videos and they are so beneficial!!!
I appreciate that thank you
So glad you made the biscuits and gravy because as you say, it wasn’t about you, it was about making someone happy on their birthday, you did good. 🥰
Thank you Ed, you ate that biscuit for all of us who cannot😂😂
Lol
I’m so thankful to have found your channel and I absolutely love your cookbook. Thank you for all that you do for all of us! ❤️
You are so welcome! ❤️
We love the longer videos!! I have been missing them!!☺️
Glad you like them! Thank you ❤️
At 93 yrs old clearly they are doing something right! I imagine their potion sizes are small unlike me I'd probably eat at least 3 biscuits with gravy! LOL! I'm sure you blessed them very much!
Loved your coffee chat with your hubby! 😊
Thank you!! 😊
❤ Ed talks about your biscuits and gravy like a loss love ❤
Lol
I believe you went through this so you can help other people. The people that don't like the small talk can move on. You two are being so real. It's real life. I think that Ed hit the nail on the head about the surgery. Don't ever give into the nay sayers. Love what you are doing for us. Have a blessed day.
Thank you
Thanks Karen
Just remember Paula, this is your channel. People come to listen to you. I think there are people who delight in going to channels to leave negative comments to see reactions. They can hide by the anonymity of the Internet. They would never say any of it if they were face to face with you. It's truly sad but I'm glad you rose above it and are carrying on! We love you and Ed!!
This is true. Thank you ❤️
😂 Paula
I laughed at your story of the biscuits and gravy today.
Thank you!!
Loved listening to the both of you today! I’m a senior who lives alone, and felt I had company this morning. Thank you for the visit!!
Our pleasure! Thank you
I love this video! You and Ed are so funny!
Yes, we didn’t mention his daughter has talked to me about helping them get healthy. That was on my mind too
I do that folding technique on my biscuits too. i'm thinking as i watch this video, everything happens for a reason Maybe the reason is that you develop a biscuit and gravy recipe for us!!!!!!
lol maybe I’ll work on one. I do have a great gravy recipe!
@@lowcarbrevelationAwesome! have you made a video of it yet?
I can’t believe what a difference the paint makes. The last part of the video with Ed and the view of the kitchen, gorgeous! The blue glass at the top makes everything sparkle, so do you!
Thank you so much! ❤️
I LOVED this video because as a believer I saw how He took your sad feelings and turned them into happy feelings overnight!❤️ Then, as a personal chef, being in this lifestyle for so long, sometimes I feel so guilty making food for people that I feel so strongly against! But I had to realize I can’t change their way of eating but I can bless them with the food they love, even though it’s
bad! You definitely blessed that couple!!💕
Good word. Thank you
Oh, that was a nice story!
❤️
I love watching y’all❣️So encouraging and entertaining! I am not as strict as I should be and my husband is so disciplined! We do enjoy this way of eating. We do feel better. I have no more inflammation, colitis and less headaches.
That’s awesome!
It’s my understanding that when you get the surgery you have to dramatically modify your diet/lifestyle. So it makes sense to me to try the modifications first and see if that helps before you go through surgery.
BTW…..great video chat today. Glad to see your spirits are high.
I’m glad you are here! Just think! The negative comments are not the spirit of God. However these people are still watching and listening! Your faith and advice can be doing a work you haven’t even imagined!
Never thought of it that way. Thank you
Yes on Bariatric.
Awe I completely understand why you’d be upset. You did a great job
I think the biscuits & gravy story is hilarious! It’s not like you make that everyday for them. 😄👍🏻
Thank you ❤️
@@lowcarbrevelation you’re welcome 😊
Love love love biscuits and gravy. That’s one of the meals I miss. Keto version just doesn’t cut it 😂
I love French eggs! Use your recipe❤
I love the chatty videos. Feels like chat with a friend. Both of you are great
Thank you!
Loved your biscuits and gravy story!
❤️
Hello Paula and Ed...God bless you ❤😊
What a sweet thing to do Though. ❤
Love the coffee chats guys
Paula there is a coffee shop in our town that makes the best scones. When I go with my exercise friends they will take one and split it into 6 pieces and they share it. They used to tell me just have a taste. I know that if I take one bit I will take two home to eat later. Best to not take a taste.
I agree.
I loved watching this coffee chat! I’m looking forward to a potential fireside chat in the summer at your fire pit by the lake!
Great idea! We did one last summer and tried sugar free marshmallow smores. Will do again
I love your vulnerability and honesty
❤️
Life’s too short. Once in awhile, enjoy the biscuits 🥰.
Paula offers a coaching program check out her website
I have a grocery list on my website that has a list of food ideas. I eat onions and peppers. I also have a playlist of what I eat in a day videos with ideas. My website is lowcarbrevelation.com
Biscuits and gravy are the best from West Virginia is the best, both my parents are from Beckley and Oceana. I grew up on that stuff.
My parents grew up near Beckley. Been there many times ❤️
Love you two. I have been following you for only a short time. I must say I like the way you are eating now and by that I mean eating more often. Getting your protein in is key and personally I couldn’t do it only eating 2 meals a day. ❤❤
Thanks so much
You made someone else's day, from love..God bless you❤ & you made me 😂laugh..much needed laughter 😁🤣
God bless. ❤❤
Thea, thank you! I am praying for your hubby and strength for you
Thank you Paula. I can’t thank you enough. 🩷🩷
I feel like you and I are best friends taking a walk in the woods this am! 100% agree mercies new every am! You go gal!!
Thank you!
On another note, my daughter had the weight loss surgery 3 years ago, lost 115 lbs, and has kept it off by following a keto life style.
That’s great! I know some are very successful afterwards
Omgosh 😂😂😂 this was priceless 😂😂Ed don't feel bad about it at all😂😂 I needed that laugh so bad today!! Thank you both❤❤❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed
Thank you for sharing.
Love your real life story about the biscuits and gravy. This sounds like Gary and I. He has volunteered me for things and I would be mad at him. 😂
Lol
Two years migraine free would make anyone stand firm on a way of eating that has healed your body.
Paula, those making many insensitive comments do not know the personal price you have paid to get here!!!
Just keep being you! ♥️🙏🏻
❤️
Great video!
Thanks!
