  • Thank you AJP factory for such a welcoming and warm meeting. Was a blast to meet you and see how the motorcycles are made. Maybe it's not the best video to get to know everything from scratch, but I could not film everything and I was not trying to show everything, I did not even have the proper gear to film it in the best quality., but it's so nice to shear with you my experience over there at AJP.

    I picked up my new PR7 today! It was difficult to find one in the US. I will get it dirty tomorrow. I hope to get the break-in done before the snow flies. I don't have much time.

      Hey, Nathan, Congratulations! Yes, to get a brand new one it's a challenge even here in Europe. If you will be changing the oil by yourself make sure you drain the oil properly. What part of the northern states are you located in? I still have rideable weather back here in Norway even though my bike is already parked for the winter.

    Nice video, thanks! Undoubtedly the AJP factory will read this too :-)
    I'm curious about their engine choice; some history I researched; correct me if I'm wrong;
    In 2009 AJP released the PR7 with a Fantic 650cc Minarelli engine
    Some time later they used the 660cc Yamaha in a prototype.
    And now they use a 6 speed DOHC 4V LC 600cc SWM unit (also used in the Husqvarna TE630 until 2013).
    Why did they not stick to the Yamaha 660? Finances/reliability/EURO norm/...?
    1 other important question comes to mind; It's really great that they keep improving/upgrading their motorbikes, BUT... it will be difficult to follow up on maintenance & spare parts (problems) on older models..., no?

      Thanks, I hope someone from the factory gonna answer you, that would have been really nice of them. I'll give some insides, that were told of the camera. AJP was once offered the engine which is now going into the KOVE 450 Rally. As we see it was not taken and was it one sad miss? We will see, cause Kove 450 rally is now the most-demanded enduro adventure bike in the world.

      Thanks god they did not stick to the Minarelli (Yamaha) 660 engine, as the way that is running (low grunt, nothing in the top/no lively performance, no "rpm-smoothness") and due to the high weight of that engine

      The bike with yamaha motor could not be sold in USA or Australia ,and those are big markets to AJP

    Great video Nemo, not sure why my 1st comment was deleted? I did mention I was sharing this on some other AJP sites and suggested the use off a pre-filter over the OEM air filter, but that's it!

    • @nemoltu
      @nemoltu  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Gradocchio Hey, I did see that there were 2 comments not that long after I published the video, but I could not see it. TH-cam has a strange way of deciding what can be said in comments and what is not and they don't even ask me anything about it, simply they just don't show that and simply delete it by them selves. Believe me- I don't like that at all. Sorry and sad it happened to your comment, cause I love the suggestions and positivity you share. What prefilter were you suggesting? Hope it will not be deleted.

      @@nemoltu I won't put a URL, google FunnelWeb for PR7 and you should find it. Also, when I was delivered my 2023 PR7 I got a paper saying specifically NOT to use anything but AJP OEM air filters or it negates the warranty, something to keep in mind!

      I had to contact my local dealer and make a payment through them. They could not sell it directly to me, as per their policy. But I understand that and yes they gave it to me right there ( the springs were free :D )

    Just stumbled on this video. I have some questions about the bike. How is the comfortability on longer ride (Highways, and roads)? Do you ride single track, if so how does the bike perform?

    • @nemoltu
      @nemoltu  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there. I've done some days with a lot of hours on dirt and tarmac and the seat on this bike is quite comfy for me. Yes, I've done a lot of single tracks with it, you can see that in my videos, and I know just two bikes that I could compare - this bike and the KTM 690R. I think they would be quite similar. I am planning to make a video about this bike this month, so stay tuned, gonna explain everything in more detail.

    I hope you will made on end of your travel full review of your AJP PR7 . I wonder what will be new on model 2024 . I' d like to ask you what model of rear and front Ohlins suspension is on your bike. I plan to buy AJP PR7 in 2024. Thank you!

    • @nemoltu
      @nemoltu  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The AJP PR7 review will be done during the winter. I can tell you that there will be a lot of positives, but definitely not everything. I hope some prototype parts they showed me will make their way on new bikes, but we have to wait and see.
      About the Ohlins suspension, I need to ask my friend in Lithuania, cause all the manuals were left over there, but I will have the numbers in the review video, ask me one more time please if I will forget. Just can tell you one thing- this suspension is good for racing, for, me, as a casual TET rider is way too stiff and I am planning to do a revalve and soften it up a bit.

      @nemoltu Been following you along the whole trip, thanks for the great videos and congrats on finishing - quite the achievement!
      I take delivery of my 2023 PR7 in just about a week. You said you won't have all positive things to say about the bike in your future review, but can you say up front if there was anything that was so bad that you regretted your purchase and made you be like 'if I had known that I would have never bought the bike'? I'm pretty committed to buying and am excited it's finally here - I've been waiting for it to arrive for eight months! That said, I can still back out if there are any serious deal-breakers, and that's why I'm asking now (I would lose my small deposit). Thanks for any insight you can share, and thanks again for the great vids!

    Have a 2022 model my only complaint is the side stand. It bends too easily. Needs to be be stronger to stop this.

    • @nemoltu
      @nemoltu  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely! When I was in the factory, they showed me a new, much stronger one. So they are addressing that issue.

      @@nemoltu That sounds great. Hopefully they offer it for free as a replacement to those that have issues with the current one. Nothing worse than waitng for your bike to fall over because the stand couldn't support it.

    2 people from my EU country told me that they order and prepay in full 2 ajp pr 7 but delivery time was 2 years or mybe even extended ... so they canceled order and by Yamaha T7 . Today i contact my AJP diler and he told me that i have 0 chance to get one for year 2024. Now becouse of these video, i know why is like that , to many orders and way to so smal production. Strange is that they expand in to many new countries (also USA) but their production stay same. So if you want a bike for TET in time it is beter to order other adventure bike or - now super popular Kove 450 rally

    • @nemoltu
      @nemoltu  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree with you about everything, but you never know, maybe they will expand the production? Talking about the bikes. Gotta shop around. I know that one PR7 is coming to Lithuania next month and it's not reserved yet. Just contact Martynas and you will be set. He will ship it over to you or you can come next year and ride it back to your home with it. Not trying to sell you a bike, but I thought I would give you a hint.
      Talking about that KOVE 450- I have my eye on it, looks very capable, but I really don't like that 2K km oil change interval.
