I agree with your matte polish over the design, it does look like a marbled glass. I love cat eye gels you can do so much either way them. If you have the right colours you could make gorgeous fall colour nails with glitter on top after you cure.
I love cat eye polish!! Ive always felt like it was made to shimmer and shine under a glossy top coat so im shocked at how much i love it under a matte top coat.. That looks so cool! 😊
The Japanese/Korean nail techs call those type of smaller smaller metallic partial cat eye gel polishes water cat eye - now I know why. Oh what wonderful colours and how much fun to play with

Cat eye formulas seem to have changed so much over the past few years. They used to require a black base, and now most don’t. And now this formula seems to react a bit differently than the previous batch put out by everyone. I honestly wish it would stop, as it’s become difficult to remember which cat eyes react which way. And when I’m choosing colors for a set of nails with a specific design in mind, it’s really become a challenge remembering which effect I’m going to end up with. But so glad you provided this swatching vid so I know whether or not I want these. So thanks! …and it’s called “live acoustics” when you get that great sound in places like churches, cathedrals, etc.
They have haven’t they?! I remember some I had I used to have to hold the magnet over for a few seconds before the pigment would move! These are the complete opposite! Xxx

Google the brands you have. Do samples of all each brand and different types and make index cards so you will know. That’s what I did.
They look much better with 2 coats!
