You know I love you, boy
In every single way
Though I love you, boy
I'll miss you every day
Oh I love you, boy
I wish that I could stay with you
And keep the life I made with you
And even though this feels so right
I'm holding back the tears tonight
It's true, I'll never be over you
'Cause I have built a future in my mind with you
And now the hope is gone
There's nothing left for me to do
You know it isn't true
But I must say to you
That I don't need your love, no, no
I don't need your love, no, no
It'll never be better than it was, no, no
But I don't need your love, no, no
I've got no choice
With the king I stay alive
Never had a choice
Been a wife twice before, just to survive
I don't have a choice
If Henry says, "It's you", then it's you
No matter how I feel
It's what I have to do
But if, somehow, I had that choice
No holding back, I'd raise my voice
I'd say "Henry, yeah, it's true
I'll never belong to you
'Cause I am not your toy to enjoy 'til there's something new
As if I'm gonna give up my boy, my work, my dreams
To care for you
Ha, darling, get a clue
There's nothing you can do
I don't need your love, no, no
No, I don't need your love, no, no
There's nothing left to discuss, no, no
But I don't need your love, no, no"
But I can't say that
Not to the king
So this is goodbye
All my love
Catherine
So I sent that letter to my love
Got married to the king
Became the one who survived
I've told you about my life
The final wife
But why should that story
Be the one I have to sing about
Just to win? I'm out
That's not my story
There's so much more
Remember that I was a writer
I wrote books and psalms and meditations
Fought for female education
So all my women could independently
Study scripture
I even got a woman to paint my picture
Why can't I tell that story?
'Cause in history
I'm fixed as one of six
And without him
I disappear
We all disappear
So we had no choice
But now it's us alone
So we've got no choice
No, we've got no choice
We're taking back the microphone
I'm gonna raise my voice
They always said
"We need your love"
But it's time for us to rise above
It's not what went down in history
But tonight I'm singing this for me
Henry, yeah, I'm through
Too many times it's been told
And I have had enough (I've had enough)
Love stories to get old
And you might think it's tough
But I've got to let your love run cold
We're taking back control (we're taking back control)
You need to know
I don't need your love (hey), no, no
No, I don't need your love, no, no
Can't let it get the better of us, no, no
I don't need your love, no, no
I don't need your love (hey, I don't need your love) no, no
No, I don't need your love (I don't need your love)

Am i the only ones who can only thing of Angeilca Schylar
before my friend had to block me on everything (cause of her mom), she told me to look at this song's lyrics cause apparently it said the things she couldnt say. did she have a crush on me? the song literally starts with "you know I love you, boy" but i'm still skeptical. internet pls help me
i really hope it's positive. i think she might be saying 'i don't need your friendship' because the choruses are like 'i dont need your love' so idk. she could be saying 'you know i love you but i can't' or something. idk lol
This is so sad. Any updates?
My god this woman actually hit that note I'mma try it y'all
Edit: *Holy frick I actually did it*
I really want to be able to sing this song and be able to belt it. I struggle with belting, even though I am a singer who is trained in musical theater. I finally was able to belt to a Bb last night and it was one of my proudest moments.
ok, please help me, the tune when it says "remeber that i was a writer i wrote books and psalms and meditations" reminds me of a tune that sounds very similar. I know im thinking of Hamilton but I can't pin point the exact line(s) im looking for. if you know, please let me know, its been bothering me for a while lol.
maybe angelica's part in the schyuler sisters?
“I remember that night I just might regret that night for the rest of my days. I remember those soldier boys tripping over themselves to win our praise” from Satisfied sang by Angelica :)
What actress sings that last high note at the end?
Izuka Hoyle (Catherine Parr)
I've been trying to sing this song at the original pitch(I'm a tenor, but I can hit alto and some soprano notes because I'm weird) and I can't get that whistle note quite right. Any tips from anyone?
Well for alto is really hard too hit an B5 so try vocal training it might help or songs that are in your range .
But I'm not an expert on this so yea.
I’m a male who is gay and I always though that I needed love to make me feel better but songs like this gets me to not think like that
When Katherine Parr is singing up the scale at the end, isn't the highest note she sings is a C6?
The highest note is a B5 :)
I cried.... A lot... You know what I mean..
300th!!!!
Whenever I squint and look at the “six” it turns blue. I’m scared
1:39 - 2:32
Summary of the songs from six:
Catherine of Aragon: Henry please don't divorce meeee!
Anne Boleyn: OMFG I messed up my entire life
Jane Seymour: I'm tragically dying but I still had the best life out of all of us
Anna of Cleeves: Suck it Henry, I'm rich!
Katherine Howard: all I really want is a friend
Catherine Parr: We don't f****** need you Henry!
Why is this so accurate 🤣 (K Howard deserved better)
4:33 and 5:51 ... how are these girls even human??
4:35 🥺🥺🥺
