  • A viewer asked for an update on the Raptor and I thought it was a great idea to share my experience so far. It’s been fantastic. Only one little problem, which was the exhaust rattle that has been completely fixed by a valve spring redesign. It’s horrible on gas as expected. It drives amazing. It sounds amazing. No engine problems, no electrical problems. I try to cover everything I can think of. Hope you enjoy me babbling away about it.

    Another helpful video! Thanks Bobby. I bought a used 2022 raptor - same version as yours but in black, which is your favorite color😂. It has 34k miles on it. I’m hoping it’ll last me a very long time - the quality seems superb and like new. It seems like these trucks can be driven hard and take a beating. Wish me luck! My wife said I need to keep it for at least 10 years.

      Black is my favorite color to look at! My wife has a black SUV and black is by far the baddest ass color for any Raptor! It’s just so hot. But I feel the same way I keep cars for a very long time and I hope this one keeps going and going. Good to hear at 34,000 miles. You still love it! Thanks for the comment and complement!!

    Great video! Thanks for making it, I've been in the market for one. The prices for new raptors (non 37 or R) have come down to MSRP.

    Love the Raptor videos!!! Reason I signed on a couple years back when I bought my 2022 CO Raptor. I only have 12k miles on “ Blue” today which i thought was low until you said the mileage off yours. FYI you could have raised the tailgate with the button on lower left as long as you’re in park and never had to get out of the truck!!

    • @bobbygfl
      @bobbygfl  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is awesome! Thank you for the comment and tip on the tailgate button I always forget about that! Wish I drove it more

    Couple of FYI for you. You say you have problem backing up you can't see why don't you use your camera it works awesome. When you put in reverse it automatically comes on and when you pull forward press your camera button that way you can view the front of your vehicle and see how far you want to park up. Next you do not need to get out your truck to close your tailgate there is a button on your dashboard. Or use your key fob. Next for your sport mode you have an r button on your steering wheel That's all you need to press.preset it to your settings and then press the button when you get in the truck and it will be in any mode you programmed it to. Instead of turning the knob twice to the left to put in sport mode.I have a 21 raptor. I do not have the r button. Also I don't know any dealer currently asking over sticker for a raptor. Raptor r different story. Anyway I love my raptor 2021. No issues whatsoever. 9,000 miles on it currently. Something you might enjoy I installed on mine are the power running boards The best investment I've ever made so much easier getting in and out of the truck. Especially for your wife or your daughter to get in they will enjoy it.

      This is a great comment! Thank you! I can’t back up not because of the visibility but because I under shoot the parking spot and have to pull forward and then back up again. Only got it right once. It’s a me deficiency lol. I didnt know the key fob would live the gate while the truck is running. That’s great! I forget the switch is there. And the r button is programmed for quite exhaust but sport for everything else. Makes it nice for my wife. Thanks for the tips! Very appreciated.

      I have a 24' Ranger Raptor and I'm about to order the 24' F150 Raptor. Do you think the 37 package is worth the money ? Is there a very big difference between the 35" and the 37" on road or off road ?

    • @bobbygfl
      @bobbygfl  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@herizorakotomavo it’s my personal preference that the 35 is a better looking truck. When you drive the 37 it feels taller because it is. So it feels bigger on the road. Also the 37 tires have much harder sidewalls so the harder to me. The 37 tires are actually narrower than the 35s. So again in my opinion, the truck looks better from the side with 37s, but from the back or the front the 37s look skinny. Also, the 37 is slower. And it uses more gas. Both for obvious reasons. I would only get the 37 if I got the V8, but you can only get the V8 with 37 so there’s not much of an option. Anyway, that’s my opinion. I hope it helps. I’m very happy with my truck which has 35s

    Also did a 5% ceramic tint on the sunroof. Living in Michigan, it did more to keep a lot of the ambient light out more so than heat, but now I keep the shade open most of the time.

    • @bobbygfl
      @bobbygfl  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s good to know. The guys that did the paint protection on the front quoted some type of heat film on the sunroof and I didn’t wanna do it because of the amount of liquid that they use that would get everywhere. I consider it though I hardly ever use it in the summer

    Hey Bobby you are so right about the love and hate relationship with cardealers I do experience the same with my local BMW dealership... I do however have a question which is totally not related to this video. Currently staying in Orlando for another small 2 weeks and we would like to go somewhere else, we have been to Miami and the everglades, but we thought Tampa would be fun, you live in the cape coral area right? would you recommend going there instead because we would like to see the west coast?

    • @bobbygfl
      @bobbygfl  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Tampa is beautiful and frankly, if you’re into the beach, the water is much clearer this time of year. Venice is also amazing. You can hunt for sharks teeth right on the beach. Cape Coral and Fort Myers Beach are really still recovering from Ian. there’s plenty to do, but Tampa is way more developed.

      I first started watching your channel because of your Porsche right after I bought myself a 2019 991.2 Turbo S 911 cabriolet that I still own. Being new to Porsche, I got many very helpful tips from watching your Porsche videos. I’m also a Floridian living in Fort Myers. I enjoy your other videos as well, but still look forward to the day when I receive a notification that you’ve posted another one of your informative Porsche videos! I’d love to see your car again. As always, thanks much!

    Any leaking issues with the Bak cover?

    • @bobbygfl
      @bobbygfl  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There’s a fine line between having it slid back far enough to seal against the tailgate and being able to close it with the tailgate up. if waterproofing is the most important then closing the cover first, and then closing the tailgate creates a very watertight seal. if you don’t mind a few drips down the back of the tailgate positioning, the cover forward slightly enables you to close it when the tailgate is up with no problem at all. As far as leaking around the cab side of the bed. Zero issue.
