MY wife and I always loved this song by Cynthia tremendously, and this new(?) recording with Charlotte Ritchie and Sheri Easter is something special; but tell me: I see it was uplpoade in 2018 but Cythia looks younger than ever - perhaps the effect of a life filled with the love and Shalom-peace of Jesus?
The video should be at least fifteen years old. Guy Penrod, for example, looks like he did in those days (we’ve been watching Precious Memories a lot). There’s a 3:54 minutes Vevo video here in TH-cam where Cynthia looks about the same as in this one - and in the Vevo video both Howard and Vestal Goodman were alive. They died in 2002 and 2003, respectively.
Her voice is very similar to Emmylou Harris and quite lovely, but I simply cannot WATCH her when she sings. Her weird flowing, come-hither, sweeping hand movements, and all the finger pointing and swaying around is a complete turn off to me. She behaves like some strange Wiccan or something. I just can't watch her.........I've tried over & over, I just can't get past the 'dramatics'. Just sing......leave off the theatrics.
