Great video. Love the controlled experiment with each piece of kit. Indispensable as far as I'm concerned. Thank you for taking the time to make this video for all of us!
Thanks for the demo. What a lot of people, even pros don't seem to know is that the little white card reflector is used to get catch lights in the eyes, which is a staple of any good portrait. It is useful in event photography where you are in rubbish lighting conditions with nothing much to bounce the light off of. It isn't really used as an OCF but as a run and gun camera mount to get highlights in the faces and a twinkle in the eyes.
You all prolly dont give a shit but does any of you know a way to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost the login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Kyng Kyng i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
The trigger on the hotshoe is an Godox XPro Trigger for Fujifilm. But if you're talking about the box on the side of the camera that allows for streaming the image, that is a SlingStudio transmitter which wirelessly transmits anything out of my camera to the video feed. This can be done much more affordably these days with a straight HDMI cord from the camera to a BlackMagic ATEM Mini that we use for live broadcasting now: mpex.com/blackmagic-design-atem-mini-hdmi-live-stream-switcher.html
I wanna know if that diffuser dome could be used instead of a softbox or see-through umbrella because I don't have one and I'm thinking of getting the accessories kit
Hi Nuiiz, the diffuser dome definitely helps with diffusing the light but its not a large modifier like an umbrella or softbox is, therefore the light will have a "harder" look to it. If you want a nice smooth transition from highlights to shadows, the rule is "the larger the light source in relation to the subject, the softer the light."
That's tough because they're two different tools! Both will soften your light as they are "larger" light sources. With that said, a softbox is going to be a bit more directional than an umbrella depending on how you use the umbrella. Umbrellas are affordable and don't require any complex setup, Softboxes can be affordable (or expensive depending on quality/brand) but sometimes they require longer setup unless they are "brolly style" softboxes (in which case they can be a bit more expensive).
Do I need adapter if I use ak-r1 kit to godox v1? Or do they have specially designed for godox v1? I’m a bit confused because I am planning to buy ak-r1
@@MidwestPhoto Thank you. I am a m43 shooter but I also own 2 Nikons & Canons, & I thought of buying a V1 N to use across them even without TTL. My canon works perfectly using the xpro o to trigger my AD400pro (no TTL) so I thought I could do the same with my soon to get V1 N.
How to carefully remove the hot shoe cover ? The plastic cover is securely snapped on. I want to be careful to not break the “plastic hot shoe”. Diagram with arrows showing where to push or pull or a video would be nice to show.
You first unlock it by pressing the small grey button and rotating to the left. This loosens the plastic cover. The same applies to mounting and dismounting the unit to a camera or stand.
Definitely! You could use the Magmod system or the Rogue FlashBender System. These are the largest modifiers we recommend using on camera, you can find them here: mpex.com/magmod-starter-flash-kit.html and here: mpex.com/rogue-flashbender-2-large-reflector.html

Nice vid!
Great video! Thanks you 😊
With the head , the wall in the left side .fill the shadows , do it without wall to see contrast , How many diaphragms does each accessory lose? 🤔🤔
Thanks so much! Great info. Can I ask what you're using on top of your camera body to film through your body?

Have you missed out the snoot in accessories? we could see the image in the box.
Hi Rajiv, Yes there was a snoot accessory! We must have forgotten to mention that during our overview, our apologies.
@@MidwestPhoto thanks for mentioning now 😀
Can I trigger my Godox V1 N flash using a Nikon camera with a godox xpro o trigger on it?
Not in TTL no, we're not even sure that would work and would recommend instead getting an XPro-N trigger for your Nikon

Has external groups A-E? Looks like only A-C.... and if so why did they change that?

you missed the snoot which comes with the kit.
Are there larger diffusers for the godox v1s that I could use? I’m using this on camera for a wedding(second shooter)

I'd just go with the Godox S2 bowens kit and a 60x60 or 80x80 softbox.
need the ac on lol
You need to increase volume of your sound. I have max my phone speaker and yet sound 20% of average content sound
