After a leisurely lunch at Chittakki Homestay, I drove up to Devaramane (God's abode) Betta (hill) to catch the sunset at 3500 ft., but was enthralled by a different sight altogether! A short trek up the hillock also helped build an appetite for a tasty barbeque dinner back at the estate.

There's this amazing Bhairava Temple which dates back to 11th century. The name Devara Mane derives from there. It's a piece of ancient history tucked away secretly amidst the rolling hills of that area. Really wish this place remains hidden the way it has remained so far!

That was one awesome day! The sound of those birds singing in the estate was just incredible. It was like a big ol' concert going on up in the trees! Oh, "God's Abode Betta" sounds like such a sweet name! I bet the air up there is super fresh and crisp. That little trek you took looked so fun, and I swear I could feel pure oxygen filling my lungs! It wasn't like climbing a mountain or anything, but it was still such a cool adventure. And boy, oh boy, did that barbecue dinner you had hit the spot! Thank you, Amigo. Devaramane name comes from Temple which is located there,,called kalabairaveshwara Temple it was very nice when it has vintage Vibe now it's modernised...

Hi sir when u drive I feel ur sitting position is little bit closer to steering wheel,but actually the correct position is to sit in such a position that when u stretch ur hand straight ur wrist should touch just touch the steering wheel

I agree we need to be soaked in nature around us once in a while to rejuvenate 💯You should have got Boss to this place and she would have thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. In Mumbai if you drive with your windows down it’s possible only in SoBo 😀 Wow what a fabulous view 👌👌 The meaning of the word Devaramane is Abode of God, which in all sense, a truth well resonates with the view and experience. Happy that the Jimny is doing good 👍. Looks like you are the only one driving towards the Sunset Point. Oh thank God for the deviation . Mist is associated with Devaramane . Need to 💯 visit this place for sure . Whoa what a view with the mist and looks like your new found friends were able to guide you .😀Unfortunately you couldn’t watch the Sunset ; nonetheless I am happy for you 👍 Oh that’s the Khalabhaireshwar temple though it’s got nothing to do with the name of the place . Back to Chitaki for a Barbecue dinner . So the dishes that would be grilled are the Chicken , Paneer , Pineapple, Mushrooms, Mutton cutlet with home marinade 😋😋 The first item is the juicy Mushroom 🍄🟫. The Paneer Tikka looks awesome and glad you relished it 👍 I would prefer a DIY 😀Both the mutton cutlet and the Smoky chicken seems to have hit the spot . One of my favourite BBQ item is Pineapple 🍍. Wow the main course is pending ; Neer Dosa and the Prawns curry . I think this is more than what one might require during a Staycation 💯💯💯 Great hospitable hosts in Mr Sharad and Ma Sowmya . Awesome to note that we have one more vlog coming in this series .
