    Dude...love the truck and love the plow.
    I run 2 - 8' 6" of the same plow. One has the 12" wings on it.
    You plow and use your blade just like I would in a driveway like that. I would only offer to you that, when dropping your plow to backdrag away from from the structure...give it a few wiggles left and right to settle the blade to the surface as you reverse. It helps to keep the blade from lifting.

      Good idea, sometimes I just drop it and go ahead just a little bit to get it down there.👍

      When I get those heavy drifts by garage doors I drop the plow and wiggle my way to surface and then reverse scoop just past straight and keep wiggling the controller as I back out with the snow.
      Give it a shot. Your plow is a couple hundred pounds heavier than mine so back dragging is a little easier.

      I also adjust my plow so they drop really fast. I don't like waiting for them to go down.

    I can just imagine the pushbutton games going on in that cab. The truck really gets it done

      Lol, left thumb does the plow operation on an eight button controller and right first finger usually hits the shifter by reaching through the wheel. The end of my finger was sore after the first day of plowing.😆

    Great job scraping that up and taking the time to not pack it down.

    Love that set up. I was wondering why you were pushing snow that you were then going to backdrag and then I saw your explanation on the screen. Good tip!

      @NEILSWORLD  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, if you pack down that wet snow back dragging will not scrape it up.

    Nice lift before decimating the fence! ;-) That machine has a lot of inertia, I’d imagine you are planning the forward motion out while still in reverse. ;-)

    • @NEILSWORLD
      @NEILSWORLD  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You bet, When backing up you need to get it positioned properly so the forward line will be correct.

    Fischer makes a nice plow. Would be nice of they added down pressure, that's what I like about my snow ex plows.

    • @NEILSWORLD
      @NEILSWORLD  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never felt the need for down pressure.

    May I ask how much you paid for that truck and where you got it? How much for fixing it up if needed and how much for plow? Was plow mount custom, or made for that truck by factory?

    • @NEILSWORLD
      @NEILSWORLD  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I paid about $8,000 for the truck at government auction. Then there are fees and delivery. It's a gamble at the auction what you're going to get and how much needs to be repaired. This truck did not engage in reverse. I have countless hours of time invested as I have done all the work to it myself including the custom snow plow mount. Check out fmtvsales.com he goes through the mechanically and offers a six-month warranty.

    This a really a nice machine. Glad it is working out well. Did you make a custom attachment?

      Yes, I made the plow mount for the truck.

    Amazing vehicle. That’s not wet snow puffing around your plow and thru the fence tho. But the truck looks like it would handle it
