It's an interesting phenomenon, these types of discrepancy disproves the others' experience, it might be what you believe you'll see unconsciously, or it can be something like religions have their respective gods, and if you're not one of them you'll experience this, if you're part of the abrahamic religion you'll go to heaven/hell, if you were greek when mythologies was the belief of everyone, you'll go something akin to the underworld, if you're a buddhist, you'll find enlightenment, or be reborn. We'll never know until we ourselves experience it, that's why some are scared to pass away, and some are content with whatever will come after, even if there's nothing.
