- Several videos of monkeys harassing sea otters in a zoo, culminating with a mass of otters drowning a monkey to the tune of O Fortuna.
I didn't record these videos, I just edited them together for a laugh.
The take home here is that monkeys are assholes and otters can and will mess you up! You otter think about that the next time you go monkeying around.

mike cool. the otters attacked the monkeys because one of them was trying to play and the monkeys were trying to show dominance over it. Otters will attack many creatures they view as dangerous in groups, like crocodiles. How ever the monkeys should never have been able to enter the otters enclosure in the zoo! They need to add a roof so both of the naturally curious animals won’t interact and harm each other. Long story short this is natural behavior for both animals but not to one another and they should be separated ASAP!

The clips aren't related. Monkeys and otters actually play together as you can see in the earlier clips. The otter kept going back to the monkey and rolling over to play with it. The last clip was an actual fight for whatever reason. These two species get along well together on a daily basis.

This happened at the Bronx Zoo in front of spectators. The otters left the Langur’s body floating in the pond for everyone to see. After the incident the Langurs were permanently removed from the Otter enclosure.

@@MiraSubieGirl Giant otters (which are MUCH larger than the sea otters many of us are familiar with) are predatory animals and WILL attack and kill other animals, including ones that are larger. I just finished a video today showing them going after alligators, anacondas, and the monkey shown at the end of this video (which, IIRC, was at a zoo of all places). They travel in groups of up to 20, and gang up on solitary animals (such as a solo gator). They devour their prey alive and head first. Giant otters don't play. They kill.

Reminds me of pairing up fish in a fishtank. Every fish has got a different behavior, so when you make a community tryna make two territorials compatible in one tank, you try to find the one with a compatible character or you simply don’t at all. Apparently this whole monkey otter feud started after they added two new monkeys called ieurs or whatever that started the harassment.
