Hello all. I am Greg's daughter. He was, in fact, injured in a fall on 4/18 and is paralyzed from the neck down. He is awake and aware, but his condition is permanent. Since he will no longer be able to enjoy any of the things he once enjoyed, like drinking beer, riding his motorcycle, or anything else, he chose to stop supportive care and let nature take its course. I will try to put a video up on his channel once I can gain access, but it may be a few weeks. I thank you all for supporting my dad over the years in his beer endeavors. He really enjoyed doing these. This will be his last one. Cheers.
Thank you so much Greg I really appreciate your kind words. I’m glad you like that and I will definitely send you some in the future. Thanks again great review cheers 🍻
My uncle Greg was interred today wearing his Greg’s Beer Reviews shirt with a beer mug in his hand. I thought that detail would make you all smile. Cheers and thank y’all for supporting him and our family.
Many thanks from over here across the pond in the UK. I first knew of Greg when I was an admin for Beer Drnkers United back in around 2011. Sad news but your comment has raised a smile. Cheers to him & your family 👍👍👍
Damn. Didn't know about this. I drove a truck and got to spend time with the two of them. Class act. Very nice people. We laughed and had a great old time. Had to show off the beautiful bike. We are both car and bike guys. Thank you Greg for your kindness and friendship. Cooper
Thank you Jamie. I spent a lot of years with Greg on here. I just checked back tonight in years to have a beer with him and saw this. Such a sad thing. Thank you so much for letting us know. Greg will be missed and I know for sure he'd be happy you touched base with his youtube family. Condolences to you and the rest of Greg's family. He was loved by a lot of people he never even met. He was a friend to us. What a wonderful guy.
Had to comment. This channel was always a go-to of mine for some late night viewing when I just wanted to chill out and relax. No politics, no negativity, just a nice man reviewing some good brews. I'd come around every couple months to watch a video or two. When I heard what happened, I was legitimately upset, as he seemed like a truly wonderful man. Greg ran one of the best channels on TH-cam and I'm seriously going to miss seeing his reviews, and just his personality overall. Hope your family is okay, best wishes to you all.

My Dad passed away last night. I will post funeral arrangements when they are finalized. Thank you all ❤
So sad to hear about Greg. He was one of the OG beer tubers and an inspiration for a lot of us to turn the camera on and ramble about beer. We'll miss you my friend. One last final chug. Cheers to you, Greg 🍻
I just popped on the channel to see what Greg’s been up to, to find he passed. I’ve been subbed to Greg…since right around the channel beginnings. He was one of the first TH-camrs I ever subscribed to. Rest easy Greg thank you for all the fantastic reviews. I learned so much about beer tasting and I grew my palette for beer solely based on Greg’s amazing videos.
Years ago I came upon Greg’s channel. Back then bottled beer was the norm. Greg had butterfly beer openers in various colors for sale. I was fortunate enough to get one (blue). Although I don’t use it as often anymore when I do I open/close it just like Greg did. The first bottle I opened with it was Toppling Goliath Hopsmack. RIP Beer Brother Greg!!
Love what beer man is doing. Ive reviewed a handful of his beers on my channel. To this day hands down he brewed the best hefe I ever had. He brewed one in honor of me too that I reviewed on my channel called Damn Good Man which i loved. Was loaded with Sabro. Nice review. Cheers
Had to come back for a visit and reminisce. Watching Greg's beer reviews was a helpful distraction in a time when my mother was ill and eventually passed away. For years, I would watch his videos and a 5-10 minute distraction from the stress of the day. Thanks again, for the advice and the company Greg. Cheers!
Greg was is and always will be the man. Back when i was in the navy stationed in GA the girl i had been dating reached out to him personally and got me a shirt and he said it would probably be the last hed ever ship out ( he didnt make them anymore) and he only charged shipping. Ive run 100s of miles in that shirt and have got other people into watching his channel that have just asked who is Greg. Anytime i got a beer id check to see if greg had a review and when he did i watched while sipping on mine. He is a legend and he got me into the good stuff. I can only imagine the father husband uncle etc that he was but just thankful for all the content over the years. Condolences to his family and may his memory last forever
This is my husbands account. We just were talking about our favorite beer reviews. Of course we immediately say “we need to check and see what Greg has put out.” I always called him Grandpa. I said” I wanna know what grandpa has in his fridge today”. When my husband said he hadn’t posted in 9 months we both knew. Greg helped us through some of the hardest times in our lives. Many nights of us watching his reviews. He was comforting. He is family. My husband and I both shed tears for Greg today. This hurt. You are missed. R.I.P. Greg 😢❤ CHEERS!
Still processing this. This hurts more than I ever imagined, having not ever met him, he made me feel like family always inviting us to share a brew with him on here. I can’t believe this was the final chug. God bless you and your family, Greg. May you have eternal peace.
As someone that works and has worked in the NYC craft beer scene for awhile, I always loved finding that some of my best bar regulars were fans of Greg. Honestly, no world class medals or recognitions made us more proud of the beer our great state was producing than the kind and earnest co-sign of Greg’s. It became a slogan of me and so many of the friends I built over the bar- “hey, let’s go see what’s in the fridge today” before I recommended them some of my current favorite NEIPA’s. Greg has imparted so many moments of joy to me and the friends I’ve mad along the way in this industry, and from a far, has a real piece of my heart. It’s always beer thirty. Thank you Greg. As someone who has chosen this world of beer as an industry career, I’m so glad I found you and got to share in some of your joy and passion. May you rest easy and peaceful knowing how much your passion and exuberance has shown through to generations who will cherish your contributions.
I was late to the game. I discovered this channel around 2019 or 2020, I can't remember, but I really enjoyed Greg's videos. I loved kicking back and watching his reviews while I enjoyed a couple of beers myself. I didn't watch him every day, but two or three times a month I'd come here and check out a few videos and sip on a few beers with him. He will be missed. RIP Greg. Final chug!

My Dad's funeral is Tuesday 5/21. Visitation is at 12pm and service at 1pm. Simpson Funeral home. I will put the address and the link to the obituary in my profile since i can't post it.
I've been subscribed to Greg now for about 2 or 3 years. I saw this video was two months old and I figured he was just on one of his hiatuses like he usually does when he hasn't been sent beer mail, but seeing this video has 7,000 views, which is much more than he usually has, I knew something was wrong. Sure enough as I look through these comments I am truly heartbroken that my favorite beer youtuber has passed away. Watching his videos felt like you were actually there having a beer with him. He was the most honest beer youtuber in this entire community. If he didn't like something, he would say "that's a drain pour", if there wasn't a canned-on date on the can, it wasn't getting a 10 rating. He always gave honest ratings, and honesty is something we need more of in the beer reviewing community. I don't know Greg in real life but what I do know is that he was one of the first on this platform to do what he does, a true OG. Now the beer reviewing thing is a trend, and he started it! His videos are what got me into craft beer! Without his videos I would probably still only drink Bud Light! Lol. R.I.P. Greg you were an inspiration to many and you will be missed.
Same . Ive been watching Greg for about 10 yrs. I took a break from alcohol a year ago so I stopped watching regularly. Looked today and saw he had passed. RIP Mr.Greg, thanks for all the beer lessons. 🍻
RIP Greg. I hadn't been keeping up with him for quite a while but yesterday it hit me to check up on him. I knew he was getting older here and feared something happening. Grateful to have had Greg make so many great and relaxing videos to share beers with and taste test with. I'm sure your fridge, wherever you are now, is stocked full of the best. Lets go see what's in the fridge today Greg and for eternity!!! 🍻
RIP Greg. I have been watching you for years. We did a beer swap about 10 years ago, I still go back and watch those reviews from time to time. See you again down the road.
I have been out of the craft beer scene for years now. Used to watch all of Greg's videos. My wife was asking me about the channel. I checked in earlier this afternoon only to read Greg passed. We are very saddened as we both enjoyed watching him. RIP Greg and thank you for all of the enjoyable videos over the years.
Greg I just found about you after searching my favorite beer on TH-cam and you seem like a really cool dude and very knowledgeable. To this man's daughter/children/grandchildren, you are all doing an awesome job preserving this man's legacy. Godspeed.
What a sad day. Greg was one of the first Beertubers i ever watched, and his enthusiasm, sense of humor, and No-BS style always kept me coming back. He felt like somebody i knew already and would grab a beer with. Sending love to his family and friends today and always. ❤
RIP Greg. I miss your reviews and i had a great time hanging out with you when i came down to roanoke. Been a sub since 2011 or so. Came and had a beer or three a few times with you in VA. Lets go see what God has in the fridge!
Noooo. I'm reading the comments, brother. It seems you have left us. I came here because I wanted to see your review on Weihenstephaner Korbinian. Don't know how I haven't had this yet (I love all the Weihenstephaner beers) but I am drinking it now and man what a treat. This beer knocks it out of the park which is what your beer reviews meant to me and many others. Thank you Greg for your reviews. Of course I didn't know your personally but , you just had the affect on people. I felt connected to you somehow in your beer reviews. With that being said brother, this beer I'm drinking is for you !
I still cant believe youre gone. I been with you since the first episode brother. You reviewed high seas out of a high seas multipack i believe. I guess it ends here. Much love to his family and all you legends who sent in beer all the years (heres lookin at you rico!) Also learned a lot about cabinet making too.
Thank you for all your amazing reviews over the years and all the happiness you brought to everyone around the world. I periodically check beertube and noticed there hadn't been an upload for a while and got a little worried, rest in peace and best wishes to all the family.
I just recently heard of his passing. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. I've watched his reviews for well over a decade and he was one of the best reviewers. Always being honest. Loved seeing what "he got in the fridge". I'm gonna miss that. Cheers.
After reading and keeping up with the recent events the last few weeks, this is beyond heartbreaking. 💔 I know Greg never knew me but he had such a good soul…you can tell that in certain people. He helped me get into craft beer and I would always take his reviews with me, when I was shopping for craft beer. And I always check for a date, every single time, because of him! It definitely won’t be the same after a hard’s day work and just watching his reviews. The stress of the day would just melt away for a few minutes. That will definitely be missed. I’m going to miss you brother and hope all of your family finds comfort in knowing how many people you truly touched during the years. RIP Greg and I’ll finally get to meet you one day. Until then, here’s one for you brother. 🍻
Came to see what Greg was up to hadn’t seen and recent reviews. My condolences to the family. May the man rest in peace really enjoyed his videos and passion for crafts. Thanks Greg for all the information.
God bless you Greg thank you for giving us the privilege & honor to enjoy your time & your videos & your knowledge. Thank you for all the wonderful fun times. I've been following you for many, many years. Rest in peace brother hope you're getting all the beer your heart desires at the pearly Gates.
My weekends will never be the same without you, Greg. I will never forget you. Rest In Peace. Thank you for the many years of joy and entertainment you gave us all.
RIP Greg. Anytime I tried a new beer I would go to your channel to see what you thought of it. In fact that’s why I’m here now. Sad to hear of your passing. But it’s great to see the positive impact you had on so many people. Prayers to your family.
Even though i stopped drinking beer 7 years ago, i still came back to gregs channel here and there because i just enjoyed listening to his reviews. Very sad to hear of his passing. Thank you for all the entertainment, Greg.
I raise my glass to you Greg. To the final chug my friend. Thank you for all your years with us on youtube. There was nothing like enjoying a beer with you Greg. To passion, to being the best men we can be. To the finer things in life. Cheers Greg we love you always.
Going to crack one open after work tonight in Greg's honor. Your videos have been a companion since I started drinking 11 years ago 🍻. Thank you for everything
I think I am one of many to have just learned that Greg has passed and have been following him since I was in high school back in 2011. Thank you for bringing so much joy to drinking good beer and cheers to you Greg and your family. Rest in peace.
Glad you got to enjoy a homebrew from Beerman. Sad news to hear about your tragedy..... big hugs to you and your family Cheers to the great Greg beer reviews
RIP Greg. Thanks for all the reviews and what you have done for so many inspiring craft beer drinkers. Will miss watching your videos, but those who enjoyed your videos and considered you even a friend (in that strange online sort of way) our pain pales in comparison to your family and close real life friends. All the same I'm so very sorry. You didn't deserve this and I will continue watching your videos from time to time as a memorium for one of the best and OG TH-cam video reviewers. Rest peacefully.
Rest in peace Greg, you dont know how much watching your videos put me in a better mood. Ive seen every video probably since the last 4 or 5 years. My prayers are with you and your family. Glad you were to do what you loved in your final days. Cheers Greg you will be greatly missed.
I learned so much about craft beer from Greg over the last several years. I’m glad I got to meet him once after picking up Treehouse beer for him. He really was one of a kind.
I've been watching Greg since before I could legally drink. I learned how to find a quality beer from his videos. It was always exciting to try a beer he reviewed, or even see him review a beer I've tried before. Thank you for all the videos Greg. Rest in peace.
Your Dad's Beer Reviews really meant a lot to me and would always put me in a good and better mood. I am so sorry for your loss, I hope one day I can crack open a cold one with the greatest beer reviewer of all time.
Massive respect to the man for keeping it positive and for promoting happiness for many for years. Cheers, Greg! My condolences to his "better half" and the rest of the people that were closest to him.
Wow. I was wondering why I hadn't seen a video from him in my feed for awhile. I didn't expect this news. I'm going to miss watching Greg's videos so much. So many memories. Rest In Peace, Greg.
Greg's page is what got me into different kinds of beer. It's kind of wild to not know someone personally, but feel so impacted by their departure. While clearly late to this, I'll be having one for Greg tonight.
Rip greg. This is very tough. Watched his videos often for more than ten years and watched the craft beer scene explode in that time. Its fitting and amazing his last review was something he never did a shout out to Homebrewers. Thanks for all the reviews over the years greg you will be missed.
Greg had a number of contacts at great breweries and honestly evaluated their beer. I would really like to see one( or more) of them come out with a beer, at least at his go to 7% abv, in his memory. And have the canned on date on it!
He was the first beer review guy i'd ever seen. In fact, i turned my brother n law into watching his reviews a few yrs back. Greg was and still is an amazing dude, super smart, he was like the best tutor when it came to craft beer and he knew all his beers really well. Support and Prayers heading your way to your family and all others. GREG ROCKS and always WILL :))) He got me hooked from the get-go :))) I honor him.
I can't believe I am only finding out now that Greg has passed away. I've watched dozens of his reviews over the years and drank along with him whilst watching them, as I'm sure most folks here have. RIP Greg will have a few in your memory.
Wow, i've been watching Greg for god know's how many years now, and all of a sudden i had a realization that i'd hadnt seen a video from him in awhile... only to now check this video, damn. May he RIP, and my best wishes to his family.
I now check the dates on ( most) of my beers because of Greg. His reviews broadened my beer knowledge and appreciation. Randomly enough, I found (find) his reviews to be very relaxing and almost asmr like due to their very simple format and Greg’s comforting southern drawl. Over the years I’ve watched his reviews almost religiously and looked forward to when he would upload a new review in the morning. It was a nice simple escape that made me proud to be a beer drinker. From now on, every beer I drink will be in his honor.
Thank you for everything Greg. Been watching your videos for the past 5 years. Always enjoyed your chill reviews on beers. Going to enjoy this stone tangerine express ipa in your honor. Your legacy will always be remembered! Cheers brother 🍻
Greg was like the Mr. Rogers of beer... : "Let's see what's in the fridge today" . He was so passionate about the brewery community. The reviews weren't just for drinkers if smart breweries paid attention. Deeply missed and appreciated. It is neat how TH-cam can keep this alive though.
Very sad to hear the news about Greg. I’ve always enjoyed his reviews and he seemed like a great guy. I hope the New England IPAs are plentiful on the other side and every can is dated. Rest easy Greg.
Keeping you and your family in my thoughts. During the pandemic I was living alone, and it was great to be able to share some beers with you. May every beer you have moving forward have a bottled on date 🍻
Hello all. I am Greg's daughter. He was, in fact, injured in a fall on 4/18 and is paralyzed from the neck down. He is awake and aware, but his condition is permanent. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Gonna miss "Lets see what's in the fridge today." Thoughts and prayers.
I am so sorry to hear this. We all loved Greg so much and he brought many people joy. What a genuine joyful human. Your family is in our prayers.
Such sad news. Keeping you all in my prayers.

I subscribed to Greg back in 2014. He was a beacon of positive energy, and happiness. I still have one of his bottle openers. Godspeed Sir.

Thank you for all your amazing reviews over the years and all the happiness you brought to everyone around the world.
I periodically check beertube and noticed there hadn't been an upload for a while and got a little worried, rest in peace and best wishes to all the family.
Having a beer tonight in your honor Greg, cheers 🍻 Best wishes to you and your family
Same 😢
I remember his first video and when he started. So many years ago and today I just so happened to see if Greg still made reviews. RIP Greg!
Rest in piece. Cheers to the best to ever review a beer. Was always a pleasure and always will be.
I just recently heard of his passing. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. I've watched his reviews for well over a decade and he was one of the best reviewers. Always being honest. Loved seeing what "he got in the fridge". I'm gonna miss that. Cheers.
Sorry to hear he passed away, I enjoyed his beer reviews back when I was drinking craft beer. I lost my grandma in January aged 94.
RIP, Greg. Thank you for everything you had done and sharing this part of your life with us.
After reading and keeping up with the recent events the last few weeks, this is beyond heartbreaking. 💔
I know Greg never knew me but he had such a good soul…you can tell that in certain people.

RIP Greg. Anytime I tried a new beer I would go to your channel to see what you thought of it. In fact that’s why I’m here now. Sad to hear of your passing. But it’s great to see the positive impact you had on so many people. Prayers to your family.
Bier in German is similar to Beer in English. Great review !
RIP, Greg. My condolences to 'the other half.'
Thank you for all the cool reviews; you will be missed. ❤
Even though i stopped drinking beer 7 years ago, i still came back to gregs channel here and there because i just enjoyed listening to his reviews. Very sad to hear of his passing. Thank you for all the entertainment, Greg.
7 years ago. Thats a feat. Great job brother. I left a comment for Greg. Man , that's tough hearing about his passing. Loved his reviews.
Like you, I quit also but still enjoyed his reviews. It's very sad he's gone. 😥

Sad news to hear about your tragedy..... big hugs to you and your family
Cheers to the great Greg beer reviews

Thank you Greg. Lots of years watching, always appreciated your views, preferences, and taste in the world's finest craft beers. RIP

I learned so much about craft beer from Greg over the last several years. I’m glad I got to meet him once after picking up Treehouse beer for him. He really was one of a kind.
great comment
reminiscing over you man
I've been watching Greg since before I could legally drink.
I am so sorry for your loss, I hope one day I can crack open a cold one with the greatest beer reviewer of all time.
well said , me too
RIP Greg, thanks for the many years of reviews.
Massive respect to the man for keeping it positive and for promoting happiness for many for years. Cheers, Greg! My condolences to his "better half" and the rest of the people that were closest to him.
thank you, greg. it was so nice tuning in over the years to watch you. RIP.
Been watching these reviews since the beginning. I'm absolutely heartbroken to hear of Greg's passing.
I really enjoyed his videos. I enjoyed his personality. Rest in peace brother.
Gonna light a candle for you, Greg. Rest easy and see you beyond the veil.
RIP OG Greg. Dude brought me a lot of entertainment and education over the years, and will be truly missed.
Rip greg. This is very tough. Watched his videos often for more than ten years and watched the craft beer scene explode in that time. Its fitting and amazing his last review was something he never did a shout out to Homebrewers. Thanks for all the reviews over the years greg you will be missed.
bravo
RIP Greg. I loved all your light-hearted videos and will miss you greatly. Here's to full fridges and fresh IPAs.
Love this channel and will always come back to watch the videos from the past. RIP Greg
RIP Greg! Your beer reviews were a joy to watch.
Greg thank you for all of the videos. You will be missed. RIP.
I can't believe I am only finding out now that Greg has passed away. I've watched dozens of his reviews over the years and drank along with him whilst watching them, as I'm sure most folks here have. RIP Greg will have a few in your memory.
R.I.P. good beer reviewer! 🎉😮
RIP Greg, these videos always brought a smile to my face. You will be missed.
Wow, i've been watching Greg for god know's how many years now, and all of a sudden i had a realization that i'd hadnt seen a video from him in awhile... only to now check this video, damn. May he RIP, and my best wishes to his family.
well said - me too - just found out - sad AF
I now check the dates on ( most) of my beers because of Greg. His reviews broadened my beer knowledge and appreciation. Randomly enough, I found (find) his reviews to be very relaxing and almost asmr like due to their very simple format and Greg’s comforting southern drawl. Over the years I’ve watched his reviews almost religiously and looked forward to when he would upload a new review in the morning. It was a nice simple escape that made me proud to be a beer drinker. From now on, every beer I drink will be in his honor.
RIP Greg! So sad to hear this. I have truly enjoyed his reviews over the years. He will be missed.
RIP Greg. This man was a hero to beer drinkers and enthusiasts everywhere. He helped to shape my tastes in beer. He will be missed.
me too
Thank you for everything Greg. Been watching your videos for the past 5 years. Always enjoyed your chill reviews on beers. Going to enjoy this stone tangerine express ipa in your honor. Your legacy will always be remembered! Cheers brother 🍻
Rest in peace Greg, you'll always be the greatest beer reviewer! I will miss you greatly😢❤️
Cheers, Greg. Thank you for the awesome beer reviews. May you rest in peace.
Great final video. TH-cam and the world are a less interesting place without Greg
Very sad to hear the news about Greg. I’ve always enjoyed his reviews and he seemed like a great guy. I hope the New England IPAs are plentiful on the other side and every can is dated. Rest easy Greg.
every can is dated on the other side - i am LOL - i will miss greg and his reviews
Cheers to Greg. Rest in power legend
Keeping you and your family in my thoughts. During the pandemic I was living alone, and it was great to be able to share some beers with you. May every beer you have moving forward have a bottled on date 🍻
This one hurts. Rest in peace you will be remembered. Cheers!
My condolences. Thinking about the family. Love his channel. Cheers everyone. Please just watch and drink on
