    This is why I just adore Akiko Shikata's music. That lovely soprano of hers combined with wonderful instrumentation is magnificent. She can be accompanied by epic choirs in Katayoku No Tori, traditional Japanese instruments in Akakakushi, or however one can describe Ricordando il Passato and sound fantastic.

    golden butterflies dance across the surface of this silent river as i wait on onside, patiently looking for a chance to see you. but seeing you is not enough for my heart aches for your tender touch. I reach out my hand but to grab only air as frozen tears stream down my face. no matter what tries to separate us, no matter how dark it is, no matter how long i wait in this endless time, i'll wait until we are together again. until this time comes, i'll wait forever, across this silent river.

    Man, this should have really been in the anime! It would have made a really nice ending, even though the one they have now is pretty atmospheric.

    You’re both wrong, actually. The actual lyrics are “Fa’ che mi rispecchi, ti prego, ti prego, nei tuoi occhi affinchè la tristezza abbia la meglio” which literally translates to “Make it so I’ll be reflected in your eyes, please, please, so that the sadness will take over”. I’m Italian. For a less literal translation, DokiDoki’s was good, but his lyrics weren’t 100% correct. (Rispecchia means something else.)

      "Non abbia la meglio" is correct "abbia la meglio" is not

      That makes sense, really hard to tell from the song itself what she’s saying.

    Skip the anime.
    Read the Visual Novel instead.

    It's Italian. I don't know exactly what she says, but it sounds like 'facheli, rispelchi, ti preggo', or something like that.

    Yes, the "nei tuoi occhi...la meglio" bit translates to that, but the bit before, "Fa'che mi rispecchia, ti prego" means "Pay me respect, I beg you"

      "Let me reflect, i beg you, i beg you, in your eyes so the sadness can prevail"

      Well, it may have been spoiled for you, but I think it would still be worth reading! There's a lot you missed out on, and there was a lot the anime did wrong. Not only that, but the anime only covered HALF the story, as there's still Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru for you to read as well!

      I would recommend you to read the manga as well if you think the VN is too long. They are mostly portrayed so much better than Anime, some even with more detailed answers to the riddles posed in VN *(coughthefinalarccough)*

    • @comradecoffee
      @comradecoffee 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tsukiko Mikihara Yes, the manga is the next best thing. Still, the VN is far superior! The manga is still quite good.

      . . . so it sounds better. Italian and other romance languages like French sound sexy and nice; Japanese sounds good because Japanese women sing and say a lot of beautiful emotional things (as in this beautiful music). I first learned English and think it is kind of an ugly sounding language, as is Chinese. But many Japanese people think of English as romantic because of romantic stories and movies they've seen in English.
