Excellent video. Like the scenic break, looking forward to seeing the roads in. Definitely a great journey for the layout and your learning process. Well done.
Hi Geoff - great bit of scenic break building. The road over rail bridge looks right for that bit of the layout. The addition of the Faller road system is the icing on the cake - brilliant. Cheers Euan
haha thanks very much Nick! The main difference if the layout has grown substantially in 2020 whereas the drinks cabinet has been depleted lol. All the best, Geoff
First Geoff let me congratulate you on achieving 1000+ subs clearly we know we are onto a good thing. Secondly what a cracking job you've made scenic brake. Good call. 🚂🚃🚃🚃
What a transformation, a modern theme that really works plus same for the multiple scene breaks. Never seen a pair of cooling towers on a layout, no space on my oo gauge, shame. Congrats on almost 1250 subs, growing fast!! Stephen
Thanks very much Stephen. I’d really like to add a third if I can get one cheaply on eBay 😂. Only problem is they are taller than my back scene lol. Thanks again, Geoff
Brilliant Geoff you should be pleased as that's a really good scenic break. Super skills when it comes to doing scenics mate. Really like the contrasts that you have on your layout. Great job cheers Andy
I love the use of your scenic breaks Geoff. Makes the layout really interesting. I’m very impressed by the quality of your concrete weathering - really looks the business, especially with that little bus trundling by!
Thanks very much Michael, I used the Revel weathering powders, it's a great little kit and very economical. . Thanks as always for your support, its much appreciated. Cheers Geoff
I guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot my password. I would love any tips you can give me.
@Skylar Boston i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hi Geoff, whay! I've finally caught up with all the videos. All looking good, the concrete scenic break looks great. Always difficult to blend in different backscenes with the difference in colour tones but with a little disguising with trees and foliage it works ok and once the road system is running it will pull the eyes away from the back. Great to see the subs coming up nicely. Catch you soon, regards Bobby 'T'.
Hi Bobby T, great stuff thank you for all your support on the channel, hopefully you've found the quality of the videos have improved in time too. I'll be back with the next update soon. All the best, Geoff
Another layout to add to the watch list! That's looking splendid - definitely one of the most impressive N gauge modern image layouts I've seen, keep up the great work :)
Well done!! Your use of foamboard is a nice simple way to get structure in without the weight and something that I will need to think about as I add sections to my layout - up to now I have mainly used cardboard, but it does not have the structural integrity that foamboard does. Congrats on reaching a significant milestone.
Hi Eric, thank you very much for your kind words of support, much appreciated. Yes indeed foamboard is great, i was really pleased when i discovered it. If i may give you one tip, try to avoid getting any liquid paint on the edges as it can make it warp quite badly. I find that spray paint works best. Thanks again, Geoff
Thanks very much John, i'm really pleased with how its turned out. Third time lucky in this part of the layout. Hope you're keeping well! All the best, Geoff
The whole scene came together very well Geoff. Excellent construction and the Faller system works very well. Congrats also on passing 1000 subscribers. Stephen
How about a P sign (parking) on the bridge lay-by and maybe a burger van? But good outcome for the scene break, wasn’t sure at first how it would turn out, but it looks great now. 👍
Thanks very much! Thats a great idea, i'll probably keep changing the area to add a bit of interest on the layout for running shots and I recently picked up a burger van. All the best, Geoff
Hi Geoff, great update mate, really nice detail on the bridge and I like the way you’ve built the structure and it’s removable, it’s something I will have to Give some thought to on my layout. Looking forward to seeing the Faller car system it’ll really enhance the layout. Congratulations on hitting the 1000 subscribers much deserved Geoff as you’re putting together a lovely layout, cheers for now John
Thanks very much John for your kind words and support. I'm really pleased with how it turned out and i'm learning alot about what you can (and can't lol) achieve using foam board. if you ever have any thoughts or questions i'm always happy to help. All the best, Geoff
The bridge is stunning, I love the grime! The tunnel works really well and is convincing. Using the German high speed train portal was inspired! Interesting to see the Faller car system being used in N too. Great stuff Geoff!
Thanks very much Karl. Its so easy to get stuck in a rutt using the same few tunnels over and over again so it was great to experiment with something different, I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Cheers Geoff
Very detailed video, highlighting excellent modelling skills. One thing... Clearly power generation is the business to be in, as it looks as though one of those workers drives a silver Porsche 911. Perhaps he should go with an EV given his work, I would suggest a Jaguar I Pace.😃
Thanks very much Keith for your kind words. Ah yes, the big issue with n gauge, the lack of cars available, I have a lot of these on my layout, lots of rich car owners 😂. All the best, Geoff
Thanks very much Steve. I'm really pleased with the variety that i've been able to create. Hopefully will work well for some running shots. All the best, Geoff
Hi Geoff, the new “scenic break” is a work of art 👨🏼🎨👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 and with addition of the faller system, this area will be a real focal point for train spotting 😉 Fantastic video presentation and entertaining show. Looking forward to seeing the next one already 😁 Very best wishes from County Wicklow ☘️
Thanks very much Kev, hope you're well. Yes, its very basic compared to the )) gauge faller system, and as ive discovered, very hard to find in shops. I'm hopeful it will add a nice extra element to the layout. All the best, Geoff
A great video again Geoff. The scenic break works well and the end result is excellent. You think like me. Any backscene matching issues or mistakes whack some greenery infront of it, problem solved. Looking forward to your next update. Best regards Jeff
Hi Jeff thanks very much, glad you like. Yes backscenes seem to be my biggest struggle, but like you say, its very easy to hide any mistakes as long as the horizon roughly matches. All the best, Geoff
Hi Pen Junction, thanks very much and welcome to the channel. Sounds good, i'm thinking a bit of a running session competition as a bit of fun. All the best, Geoff
Very nice...i love the circle tunnel very very nice , vallejo matt varnish is a bitch for crystalising if thats what you used . Windsor & newton make the flattest matte on the market 250ml tub for a tenner , dries fast as well n gives a superb finnish....looking awsome...👌🤘👋👍
Brilliant video as always Geoff. I dont know where you got the ideas from, it looks absolutely fantastic. Reminds me of the southern entrance to Lewes tunnel. Congrats on passing 1k. Regards Chris
Hi Nicholas, thank you very much and congrats again on hitting 100 subs. Yes, my plan is to include a video on how i install the system. All the best, Geoff
Geoff, the scenic break looks really good, big improvement on what you had before. I’m amazed how quickly the layout is evolving. Can I ask how the graffiti works? Are they transfers or paper? Also how do you install them as they look really good on your layout and looks like you have a technique that works. Cheers, Rich.
Hi Rich, hope you're well! The graffiti is a download sheet from scelescenes.com. It is printed onto 'inkjet water slide decal paper' (you can get this from ebay or amazon). you simply print it out, let it dry, give it a spray with matt varnish, let it dry and repeat about five times. then cut out the graffiti with a craft night. I use Microsol but there are other decal fixes. I use a brush to apply the Microsol to the area on the model so its wet. I then dip the graffiti in a small tub of water using tweezers for about ten seconds, this will make the backing paper come lose. you then need to very gently side the graffiti off the backing paper and in to the Microsol on the model (it's very fiddly, i always mess a few up), its easiest to do this with the tweezers and a small dry paint brush. I then gently brush over the top with Microset and the graffiti will mould to the shape of the model and set. Its really fiddly until you get the nack of it, but its deffinetly worth doing. Finish it off with some spray matt varnish and any weathering. Hope that helps. Thank you for your kind words. Cheers Geoff
Geoff, cheers this is really helpful. Something new to get my teeth into some time soon. Keep the vids coming. I always like to see what is new on your layout. Cheers, Rich.
Excellent video. Like the scenic break, looking forward to seeing the roads in. Definitely a great journey for the layout and your learning process. Well done.

Geoff your an amazing modeller, the bridge is stunning
Thank you Andy :)
Wow Geoff that looks awesome top job. I can't decide what I like best. The bridge or the drinks cabinet 😂😂😂. Can't wait for the next video!
haha thanks very much Nick! The main difference if the layout has grown substantially in 2020 whereas the drinks cabinet has been depleted lol. All the best, Geoff

Looking amazing Geoff with a great blend of the ‘industrial’ look of the railway tunnels to the countryside above
Thanks very much John, i'm really pleased with how its turned out. Third time lucky in this part of the layout. Hope you're keeping well! All the best, Geoff
Great video, very informative. Love the scratch-built bridge too. Thks for sharing.
hi there, thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. All the best, Geoff
Super nice train, good video 👍👌🙋🏻♂️.
Best regards Gert from Germany
Vielen Dank und herzlich willkommen auf meinem Kanal Gert
Pride Parkway Dankeschön thanks🙋🏻♂️
Just subscribed😊 I like the idea of multiple scenic breaks, opening up the options for different scenes.
Thanks for the sub and welcome to the channel. All the best, Geoff
Well you made an awkward little space to work with look amazing. The train tunnel itself is a massive step up and I think the road tunnel is awesome.
Thanks very much for your kind words Philip, much appreciated. All the best, Geoff
A massive and very realistic improvement in that area, looks amazing. Well done Geoff!!
Thanks very much Stephen! All the best, Geoff
The whole scene came together very well Geoff. Excellent construction and the Faller system works very well. Congrats also on passing 1000 subscribers. Stephen
Thanks very much Stephen, I'm really pleased with how it all came together and i'm itching to get the faller system extended lol. All the best, Geoff
Great video Geoff, good job on the bridge. As a regular user of RustOleum products can be unpredictable at some expense.
Thanks very much Stephen. Yes, very strange product to use but great results when it worked. All the best, Geoff
How about a P sign (parking) on the bridge lay-by and maybe a burger van? But good outcome for the scene break, wasn’t sure at first how it would turn out, but it looks great now. 👍

haha hope its all working out Stuart, all the best, Geoff

Nice job Geoff. You've done really well to blend the scene and disguise all those awkward angles. Looking forward to the next scenery video. Cheers.
Thanks very much Alan. It was a funny part of the layout and i'm really pleased with how its turned out. Cheers Geoff
Looking great
Thanks very much Steven. Cheers Geoff

Thanks very much Tom, appreciate your kind words. All the best, Geoff

Really nice looking layout Geoff, does give me a lot of inspiration for my N Gauge Layout - Subscribed
Hi Steve, thank you. Welcome to the channel, I hope you enjoy my layout and content. All the best, Geoff

Reminds me of the southern entrance to Lewes tunnel.

Thanks very much Chris, appreciate all of your support. All the best, Geoff
Great video! Did you just cut the grooves for the Faller system with a hobby knife into the card? Cheers, Dan
I can't seem to find the Led's you used inside building's and the power block for the lights on your layout thank you.
Wow the scenic break looks great and your using the faller car system will you be doing a video on the faller car system?
Hi Nicholas, thank you very much and congrats again on hitting 100 subs. Yes, my plan is to include a video on how i install the system. All the best, Geoff
Hi. The tunnels. What’s that material called that you made tunnels from? Thanks
hi Geoff, can I ask where you got those two green portal factory buildings. thanks
Hi there, thanks for your note, they are from Scale Model Scenery. All the best Geoff

Bet you ordered from Osbornes model shop....
haha it wasn't in this case but i know what you're saying, i've had my share of issues with them. Cheers Geoff
Excellent video Geoff check out my layout Spongate Junction although it is in it's early stages at the moment
Thanks very much Stuart, i'll be sure to check out your channel. All the best, Geoff
