Indeed it does, and it's actually been in my plans since 2020 or so to make a new video covering both Telefang games. I've been waiting for the Telefang 1 translation patch to be finished, but the team has been busy so updates have slowed down. It's mostly complete now though, so I might just go ahead with it. And thank you very much for another Super Thanks! I appreciate the generosity!
When I was little my cousin got herself a bootleg cardridge with 100 games on it and we played the hell out of Pokemon Jade and Diamond. We couldn't understand English either way so we just skipped the text most of the time. It is however an awesome experience revisiting the Chinese bootleg as an adult. It is after Vietnamese Pokemon Crystal my fav shitty bootleg. Also thanks for putting together this video, because after many years I finally know what the story is about!
I remember having an English cartridge of this game and the name for the cover art sticker was pocket monsters something something lol the cartridge was yellow
Crypto (Kuribute) = Sandslash Monstera (Manstla) = Gyrados Kochia (Kokia) = Mantyke Oshie (Osie) = Ryhorn Yeah, I just listed what each of these Denjuu remind me of. The names in parentheses are the names in the Diamond/Jade bootleg versions. The names that aren't in the parentheses are the official names.
Yup, I had it, and my saves would always vanish... I knew those were bootlegs, even as a child, but I thought the save problem was some kind of hardware issue with the cartridge. Almost 20 years later and I can still remember it pissed me off!
Several several years ago my family and I were vacationing in Vietnam and I had my mom buy me Pokemon Jade. It was a cool contrast to Yellow and I would've liked it a lot more if the save didn't delete itself so often :( I lost the cart a long time ago. One of my favorite parts of this Chinese rip is that there were instances of the characters spouting "sh*t" and my 10 year old self thought that was cool and edgy af
The composer of this game did the music for Mega Man Xtreme 1/2 and several Natsume games (mainly the GBC/GBA Power Rangers games EXCEPT Power Rangers Time Force [The GBC version was done by Natsume, The GBA version was done by Vicarious Visions, The GBA just launched so another version had to be made, same issue applies for LEGO Island 2.]) Ironically, the composer for Keitai Denjuu Telefang 2 later did music for Pokemon Black & White/Pokemon Black & White 2, which is embarrassing to say the least. (Toothless Dancing to Driftveil City intensifies)
I played this in my childhood thinking this was a pokemon game.. It is only now i found out it technically wasn't. I remember having fun with it, despite the fact i was horribly stuck in it. So glad i have this closure though :)
Veeery far... yes shit! remember it! Also...... the Denjuus have personality, that is a factor that can influence if they get lost or not when coming to battle.
I loved Pokemon Diamond back in the day. Its no Granbo but it gets the job done. BTW are you planning on doing an Azure Dreams GBC / PSX some time in the future?
Haven't thought about Azure Dreams, actually. I've only played a few hours of the GBC version many years ago, but the PSX version is apparently pretty cool and has a lot of features that the GBC version doesn't so I'll have to check it out sometime.
Thank you! I hope you have as much fun as I did back in the day, I remember looking at the cover for the PSX version and thinking it would be something like Wild Arms, imagine my surprise when I finally played it and it was a sort of Magi Nation kind of game. I was not expecting that.
That is also one great game. Graphically it resambles an early GBA game the colors are much more vivid than the GBC port pf Azure Dreams and is longer than both versions as well albiet lacking some dose of the adult humor they had.
@@samwisegamgee1243 What a waste of human life. Imagine people making people childhoods, and being such a fucking low tier...animal. I can't even call this guy human, thats how bad he is. But at the same time he made my childhood, and many other peoples too...is he in jail forever?
@@killkill308 to be fair, HE didn't make your childhood, it's the creative and dev team that made the games who did He really doesn't even deserve the credit People like the woman who designed the denjuu (who now draws for vampire hunter d) deserve alot of the credit. Power antenna could've be used for idk trading and battling others like via link cable if this was real the GBA wireless adapter wouldve been invented earlier before it's release
I played telefang as a little kid on accident. Someone tried to upload a rom hack as a pokemon game. I played it on an emulator and thought it was shit. Lol
I do have to question why in a game where you can only consistently have 1 monster on you, that the starters natural evolution line goes up to some of the most powerful TruMons, to the point where a considerable number of people consider Crypto's Final Evolution the best in the game. Kinda takes away any sense of teambuilding.
one day i bought a pokemon game, went home to play it and it was a very weird game and not pokemon xD i just recently found the rom by accident while looking at rom hacks called pokemon diamonf/jade and well it was the game, i still have the cartridge xD, went deep into the game but i couldn't save so i only scratched the surface, but honestly looks like a fun game, i got some patched vfersions so ill play it
I don't know if this works for bootleg games, too, but when the official nintendo gameboy games run out of battery, you can't safe anymore either. You can however replace the battery inside, that is responsible for keeping your saves alife. Tools are available on ebay, if you ever wanna try
This franchise definitely needs a closer look at some point of time. ;)

Thing is crypto closely resembles sandslash than any of the others listed there
I've played this game as Pokemon Jade and Diamond hahahah I was searching the real name. thank u!
Same here xD The good old days
they should make a new game in the telefang series where they comunicate with eachother with telephones
This is weird, as a kid I went on holiday and saw this pushed as a pokemon game so I got my family to buy it for me. I found it quite fun tbh xD
Same, but was never able to buy it ; ;

yes
shit! remember it!

It is now 2021 and they had patched the game until Cactos Ruins. Next is the Burian ruins and other post game events
Has anyone tested power antenna with English translation?
Doubtful, but I am curious if it does work.
It's more like fusion between pokemon and zelda

All i remember is that musa monster and some lizard with the drill
[Not So] Fun Fact: The publisher, Smilesoft, was shut down in 2003 because the company president was arrested for child prostitution charges. 😬

I like this game a lot if it isn’t for a certain part where a gate will automatically/erroneously get closed I would have finished this game way back.

Digimon was based off the V-pet craze caused by Tomagatchi, not Pokémon.
It was made by the same company

Not the first time someone points it out. Purely a coincidence, though.
Ah, le bootleg Pokemon Diamond and Jade hahah
