I get the same nerves about black sections despite having to tackle them in races. Practicing in a no-pressure environment is best. Good to see the perspective from the bottom, gives a different angle to the rock gardens.
Love this! So reassuring to hear that riders with the skills to clear a tech section get nervous too! I’m fairly new to MTB and after a few broken bones, I’m trying to get over my nerves and progress. Look forward to the nxt video :)
Thanks. After seeing the guy crash on the drop, I wasn’t psyched to do it. I really had to have a proper talk with myself to go back to the top and ride it.
Nice to see an honest look at tackling something new and those butterflies we all get but that keep us on our toes. Have you tried those sections on the Bizango out of interest? I'm riding one, going to be bumpy for sure.

I haven’t tried them on the Bizango yet. Could be a good video (or a painful video)🥳
@@bikeandbeyond haha very true!
Noice vid, the upper cliff blacks are quite intimidating first time, plenty to go wrong haha 👍👍
Cheers mate. I was feeing good until that guy stacked it as I was getting ready to ride.
Sometimes it's best to just let the bike roll through without brakes, the momentum will carry you through.
Nerves?
I prefer to call it survival instinct.
Good on ya for going back and doing it.
Thanks man. I knew I could walk away from it.
I have ridden all the blacks there apart from the last two you did as I have always found they look intimidating
Yeah the rock s garden in to drop is a comitting one. I am glad I managed to ride them. Looking forward to doing it again!
It’s my local ride I do all black on a Xc bike
The one on upper cliff always gets the better of me, and seeing someone eat shit doesn't help either 🤣🤣
Yeah it wasn’t exactly a confidence boost when he stacked it in front of me 🤣😅😂
Another great video fella....noice 😀
Cheers dude! 😃
I did all the black trails on my trek marlin 8 hardtail and let me tell you, i nearly died many times!!
Haha yeah I can imagine it would be pretty hard going. Good work!
REALY NICE
Where you get your frame decals from?
They are from Dyedbro. They have loads of cool styles.
Is cannock chase good for a beginner?
Definitly. Nothing too difficult. I recommend starting on the blue Perry’s trail.
There all easy mate
Should’ve made the Commonwealth Games guys run there rather than the ‘blue route’
👍👍👍👍
