    My horse has a huge forelock. I could neer use this halter unfortunately. If it had TWO face straps between the center of the nose and poll that I could separate for the forelock (slide toward the ears), THAT WOULD WORK! Many easy keepers that need muzzles are ponies, and many ponies have a TON of hair. I have to be careful with flymasks as well. Headgear that pushes the forelock down can damage the cornea of the eye. This design doesn't work for a hairy pony!

    Why is this used??

      Prevents them overeating grass which can cause colic and laminitis. It is only worm 10 hours a day usually but its for the horses health.
