@@JadeMountainArchive You could probably use him for facial expressions during the parts of your videos centered around critical literary analysis of the series to show things like disdain, appreciation, fascination, interest, happiness, questioning, anticipation, like, dislike, etc for whatever aspect of the narrative or literary device is the subject at any given point in your videos. He seems bookish to me, so maybe he could be like an English professor who also happens to be a dragon with a youtube account!

I love how almost half this video is dedicated to JMA ranting about Qibli's holiness.

Things I have learned today: Buff Tsunami is real, Turtle being a dumbass cost Tui about three times as much money to print Darkness of Dragons, and Qibli is the Lord. Wow, and my mom tries to tell me that there's nothing educational on TH-cam😂

If you really think about it, both of Thorn’s children could’ve been the next Darkstalker. Qibli for obvious reasons but also Sunny had she been born under the three moons and inherited animus magic from her dad Stonemover
Well Qibli is weird because he's not Thorn's biological son, but he does have a very close relationship with her and she rescued him. Honestly, if Thorn wasn't so much older than Qibli and already with Smolder now, I could see people shipping them.

First of all, how is Qibli narcissistic? And dang, those biblical references are insane. I wonder if Tui intentionally did that
1. Qibli frequently believes he would use animus magic more intelligently and responsibly than other dragons (especially Turtle) - he believes he would do a better job than them. This is likely often true, but not all the time (see his use of Anemone's bracelets not once but twice for evidence of that).
2. I bet it was! Tui also worked on Warrior Cats for which the first arc is absolutely chocked full of Biblical allusions and Arthurian mythology.

@@JadeMountainArchive I know a narcissist. I think she’s a narcissist. All I know is my parents describe her as vain and she took *all* the credit for saving a kitten. She didn’t really do much to help save the kitten. She also looks in the mirror a lot. But Qibli isn’t really a narcissist in that way, he’s just narcissistic sometimes is how I’d describe it 🙂

This is hilarious! Starflight is truly an unpredictable boi, and Qibli is giving off some strong Jesus vibes. Not sure if I agree with Qibli being a narcissist, though it could just be the one I grew up with behaved differently.
He certainly doesn't qualify for Narcissistic Personality Disorder though he does have some narcissistic tendencies.

Also fun fact about Qibli: while his name comes up as "a seasonal desert wind" when you search for it, the name of the wind comes from the word "qiblah", which in Arabic means "direction". This is the word used for the term "Qiblah", which is the direction of prayer in Islam, directed towards Mecca the holiest city in the religion. So not only is Qibli a very eerily "christic" character, he can quite literally be considered as "the direction" other characters can rely on: he cheers dragons up, he knows how to think and appropriately react, plus some characters in a way depend on him like Moonwatcher. He is literally the dragon to turn to, like how muslims turn towards Mecca in their prayers.

There was actually a video on what would have happened if sunny was an animus, it started out with good intentions but in the end she controlled every aspect of the dragonets lives and controlling every other tribe because her soul got corrupted. If that could happen to sunny of all dragons it could definitely happen to Qibli, regardless of personality.

In many ways, I think, it is not so much a question of how much we love a character, but rather how our love for that character changes us. In the case of Qibli, I think he encourages us to change for the better.

I can see how Qibli could’ve been the next Darkstalker. They both wanted a better world and believed animus magic, and themselves, was the answer. Darkstalker was a bit more…obvious dangerous. Darkstalker became angry at the icewings and therefore believed that the world was better off without them. Qibli could’ve went down that path, not the genocide one tho, had he be given the magic. He considered protecting his queen from all dangers and that brought up other issues-of Thorn gets magic stuff to protect her, why not the other queens? Qibli is too smart for his own good to have animus magic
I do have to say something about DarkStalker.
DarkStalker didn't WANT or MEAN to be evil. He just was trying to do the right thing, trying to make Pyhrria a better, more peaceful play. But since he grew up with such a terrible family, he couldn't quite tell what was right and what was wrong.
Book 10, near the end (he eats the strawberry soon after this), he checks himself with the old telescope he enchanted to see how good or evil a dragons soul was. It said his was almost entirely evil. Then, when he meets Foeslayer again, he tells her that his soul is almost completely evil, and is SAD about this.
(P.S. If some of this info is wrong it's because I haven't read book 10 or DarkStalker legend in a while, so excuse any mistakes!)
