Thank you. I learned a lot about my '87 by watching this including keep a spare belt and tools in the car and checking out the "Triangle of Death" (because I am plagued with a slight drip).
i thought so too but maybe some did? the engine shown clearly has no clutch at the fan pulley but maybe at the crank pulley?. however, they are not "primarily" oil cooled. mechanics have no training in thermodynamics but never stops them from making false claims.
Great content. Not to nitpick but engine mounted oil coolers ended with the G body . Not all aircooled 911s have them. And Cooling fans have an integrated clutch? May want to edit that.
Great explanation of the oil-cooled 911!
That was our hopes, glad you enjoyed!
Love the tips about the fans known to crack! And how the oil flows. Very informative video, more content about air cooled 911s please!!!
Lotta 911 on the way, as well as on our DIY channel!
Well done! Learned a lot :)
Happy to share some knowledge!

The moment all the non 911 owners ask why is there a triangle? 9:40
There's no clutch on the cooling fan.

In much the same way as water cooled engines are also really air cooled!
