Rolwaling is known as land of YETI. The villagers are found sharing the stories of Yeti which they believe still exist.
Rolwaling is a remote mountain valley situated in the north east of Nepal. The valley is bordered to china to the North and Everest Region to East.
Rolwaling is rich in natural resources. There are prominent mountain peaks like Mount Gaurishankar, Mt. Pharchamo, Mt. Ramdung, Mt. Chekigo, Mt. Nachugo, Mt. Khangtari, Mt. Bamongo and several peaks. The Tso Rolpa lake and Omi Tso are the two lakes of attraction. Waterfalls can be seen throughout the valley. Despite being at high altitude, Rolwaling has diverse flora and fauna. Thick forests can be seen at the base of mountain slopes. Varity of seasonal flowers grow there. Also the valley is habitat for white langurs ( gray monkey), snow leopard, yaks etc. This is our exploration video from 2020.

Rolwaling is also the birthplace of many legendary mountaineers who have achieved historical feats. Mingma G. Sherpa, Dawas Tenzing Sherpa and Kilu Pemba Sherpa recently made history in K2. They were among the group of 10 Nepali climbers who successfully summited K2 in the winter. The first Sherpa to Climb K2, Dawa Tashi Sherpa comes from Rolwaing. The Only Brother and Sister to climb K2, Dawa Gyalje Sherpa and Dawa Yangzum Sherpa are also from Rolwaling. The fastest woman to climb Everest, Lhotse and Kancehjunga, Nima Jangmu Sherpa is from Rolwaling, Nima Jangmu, Tshering Namgya and Dawa Futi Sherpa are the three sisters who summited Everest in May 2021 and made another history. With Nima Lhamu Sherpa's successful summit, 8 siblings from the same family has also climbed Everest.
This mystic region is the land of many wonders and a place people should visit.
