I just found your channel today! Love the inlays idea. You could try coins or clay to make the inlay designs. Clay might give you a matte finish on silicone however if it is sealed with a glossy topcoat then it will give the silicone a glossy texture. You can also make a Lego texture insert by pressing it into clay.
Rewatching Wendy. I chat to much ❤ This is absolutely stunningly gorgeous ❤ Thank you so kindly for sharing your wonderful talent with us all. Take care and keep creating your wonderful videos ❤
I like the die cut and have several in the Temu cart. Just ordered those lamps and was blown away at how reasonable they are. Thanks for that link. ❤ the way this came out. Ideas galore over this too.
@@Toonpish what inspired me about the lamps are they’re specifically set to work on uv. Not like a nail lamp does which works but hoping setting time is quicker. They say patience is a virtues. Lol not me. 🤪
Hi wendy ive been watching yours and Claires vids for a few weeks now and i love them. Just watched this one with the embossing folders, i enjoy a lot of crafts and i used to use embossing folders and dies. You can get 3D embossing folders maybe they would turn out better for the silicone, just a thought. Great bike i love it 👍
I love this sign. I have been making silicone inserts with my old embossing folders. Some folders work better then others. I like the less deep design on coasters because you can still set the glass or cup on the coaster without any problems. I made some coasters that have a deep design in the most and you can't put a glass on it! That defeats the purpose of the coaster. LoL I watch every one of your videos.
Omg Wendy, you're a genius. I have a 1001 dies and rubber stamps for scrapbooking but now I want to use them in resin. What a concept. I wonder if you could do one with faces or sth like that and colour all the details to see if they show up in yhe end result. I know it's not an easy task, esp with skin tone colours and clothes etc but it would be revolutionary 😍😍😍
Loving the outcome of the motorcycle sign! As for the card embossing templates, they are just too shallow for any real depth perception of detail, and maybe a little deeper embossing template would give a better height.
Hi Wendy wow this turned out amazing 😍, really cool about the dye cutting pieces, iv seen them loads , now i will be looking at them differently 🥰 thanks for sharing ❤❤ xxx
😍😍😍😍 I love motorbikes. This piece is a work of art! 👏👏👏 Those inlays are amazing Wendy! Í’d love to try the motorbike 🏍️ one. Thanks for sharing! YOU ROCK! 😍👍
So great of an idea with the die cut motorcycle. However, I didn’t know what,”back when it rains means” must be a UK thing.😅 anyway, I do so enjoy all of your teaching videos.
I love your videos and your creativity! I’ve wanted to try every project I’ve watched you create. About using embossing folders to make inlays, the first one I tried had results similar to the two in your video. Unhappy with my first one, I embossed a “shimmer sheet” (Elizabeth Craft Designs) and made an inlay from that. It turned out the way I wanted - deep & crisp design in the silicone. I think the “shimmer sheet” is acetate coated with mylar… I’m assuming the result was good because the embossing was made with both the positive & negative sides of the folder. Thank you so much for your wonderful videos!
Thank you so much Stephanie 😀😀I am so happy you have got inspired by my content 😀😀🤗 Yes you are right about the embossing folders but so many people asked I had to try it out 😀😀😀💜
Wow, very cool! It never would have occurred to me to use an embossing mold to make a silicone implant! 😮 I might even have to try this lol! You're very inspiring 🌺

Hi Wendy! I just love that sign . I was wondering if you had any more of the bike inlay cuz I'd love to do this one for my dad for his birthday coming up in October .
Hi Wendy sorry if you have investigated more, I haven't managed to check all your videos yet, I did some molds using my embossing folders after watching your small molds using wax seals, I found the 2d embossing folders didn't work so well but the 3d ones are fab as there is more dimension to them. I love your tutorial with the bike and I am off to try that now, I have a six inch phoenix die cut and have been figuring out how to get that into a tray, my attemps just using card floated and got lost, so I'll give silicone a try, thank you so much.
