Fabulous movie..almost 40 years old now and has never lost it's brilliance. On the evidence we've seen since T2 though, the franchise definitely needs to be put out of its misery after some shockingly poor sequels.
Still the best Terminator film IMO even though I love T2. You just can't beat the gritty, horror feel of this one and I wish they went back to the horror roots of this franchise at some point.
My favorite terminator despite the sequel being an action masterpiece. The horror elements and sci fi aspects. You said it. This one is in a class of its own.
I've long awaited for a fan commentary of this this is interesting I wish I could do it instead of just me my face there on camera you know but cool commentary
Pretty impressive for a low budget production which took place in the year 1983, this one still holds up to this day which I think amazing. Great fx, great score, great script, and the feel of this is more of a horror theme which was very popular in the early to mid 1980s. T2 was pretty good as well… but for those who haven’t seen any of them… don’t bother with the rest. ‘84 and ‘91 are a must watch.
25:19 Funny enough that who plays Sarah's boyfriend on the answering machine is actually James Cameron. This sure was a lot fun watching this personal favorite film of mine growing up in the 1980's with you I like T2 but this film could've easy been a one and done film IMHO. BTW Chino ''Fatts'' Williams would go on to have small parts in a lot of 80's films after this film ''Werid Science'',''Iron Eagle'',''Action Jackson'' just to name a few brother!
Unfortunately there will NEVER be an end to the "Terminator" franchise. They will continue to make pointless sequels well passed Arnold's death and beyond. They will make remakes and reboots of this franchise forever, like every other one. It's just sad to think that, if the world does indeed continue to go on, they will still be making Terminator movies long after WE are even dead. In 2099, they will still have it going. Just something I always think about when I see how decades later, many franchises just continue to poop out crappy sequels/remakes/reboots. It will never end. This can be applied to almost every series like Halloween or Predator or even James Bond.

Agreed!!!
T2 ended the story

Nothing can touch the original.

I love this film for the same reasons Matt!!!!!
There's a Terminator future war anime series coming to Netflix.

T2 is a good film I just prefer the first.
Hey matt They should’ve ended with 1 and 2 and a future war movie
Would you agree this movie is scarier than Halloween or Hills Have Eyes Part 2?
Yes.
CHINO FATS FOR THE WIN!
That poster you have on the side here doesn’t have the wording about skynet on the side for some reason, maybe different versions were issued

Terminator salvation is decent!!
Hey Rambo why in T2 Arnold is a good guy it never explains
Matt, you are not going to like the plans for Orion going forward: reimagined as a woke movie label
T7 better happen
I wouldn't get my hopes up. The last several films' reception makes the chance of another movie slim.
@@miragenights801 hopefully that's a movie would be better then other 2
