    It's funny how "queso", Spanish for "cheese", has been appropriated to mean "cheese dip". It really should be called "queso dip".
    I asked in a restaurant for "chips with queso", and the kitchen sent out a plate of chips with grated cheese sprinkled on top, as they took the order literally. I just had to laugh... technically, they were right...

    Queso dip is not good. I have yet to taste a queso dip,that I like. Try Mexican velveeta, add ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning. Also add a can of Mexican Rotel tomatoes and that dip is delicious

      My family's base was Velveeta and Rotel, with variations (taco meat, chopped jalapenos, etc.)...
