Not seeing Marlo for the threat he presented was Prop Joe’s biggest mistake, which of course he paid for in the end. Should’ve listened to Slim (smartest gangster in the show btw).
Stringer made the same mistake in the beginning but tried to fix it and take out Marlo early but prop joe stopped him. Maybe he stopped him on purpose to try and weaken the Barksdales and thought he could keep a leash on Marlo if he helped him grow and rule through him. But Marlo overpowered all of them including the one who helped him grow to be powerful enough to take his own spot. Kind of like how in Roman History, Cicero helped Augustus gain power and establish himself as a Popular Dictator to take out Cicero's biggest enemy who had bloodlust for him, Marc Antony, but instead of doing that, after Augustus was legitimized and made powerful with Cicero's help, Augustus teamed up with Marc Antony and they both became dictators together. Cicero said the words "the Senate was my weapon, and it has crumbled in my hands" kind of like how Prop Joe used the Co-Op as a Senate but he brought in and legitimized the one who would seize it and destroy it and take all of its power for himself. Marlo! Cicero was executed by both of them, beheaded, and his hands severed and nailed to the wooden podium at his own speaking platform.
He said “ain’t easy” meaning he *thought* he could control him. Take him under his wing and groom him. But Marlo wasn’t looking to listen to anyone but himself
Joe was made to play the father figure, but between Cheese and Marlo poor guy couldnt get one grateful heir 😂 Except for Slim that is, but he'll never know
Prop biggest mistake was he was to nice n seldom with Marlo with a dude like Marlo yu gotta play the part and act like his friend but he ready to backdoor him at any time cause at the end of the day that's how Marlo was yu give out energy yu wanna receive and at the end he backdoored prop joe

Not initially, but he grow. Learned from Avon, Stringer and Prop Joe. Picked up their best qualities but avoided their pitfalls.
Second biggest mistake. Trusting his sister's son was his biggest mistake.

The smartest gangsta in the show was Clay Davis.
@@stanleywilliams1605 Clay was the second smartest gangster on the show. Naurice was top dog imo.

Slim warned him but his ego didnt listen
Two faced snake
He said “ain’t easy” meaning he *thought* he could control him. Take him under his wing and groom him. But Marlo wasn’t looking to listen to anyone but himself
2:15 Chris was subtly testing Slim's loyalty to Joe, and his feelings about Marlo. Regarding Marlo, Slim's reply was "Definitely not."
Joe was made to play the father figure, but between Cheese and Marlo poor guy couldnt get one grateful heir 😂
Except for Slim that is, but he'll never know
"I'm just sayin" is a common saying throughout the series. But Marlo hits them with "It's just a thought"
Oh hell yeah, this'll be a good series
