Great story Lou. We all did dumb things as kids that stick with us. I remember taking all my Mets cards and taping them inside my locker at school but they didn’t fit so I trimmed them all down just to get them in there.
The BIGGEST rookie card I was so excited to get was a gift from my parents in 1982 ! Now he wasn’t a bust but my parents surprised me when they came home from the local swap meet was the 1981 Fernando Valenzuela fleer RC! I’m 52 but I got that card when I was 8/9 years old! I still have it too! I put it in a clear case and it’s still in there haven’t taken it out since! That card means SO much to me for the reasons that my parents gave that card and for what Valenzuela ment to our Mexican culture! Bust or not it’s the best card in my collection! Congratulations on the 300 subscribers, happy belated birthday, keep walking for health! God bless! RIP El Toro #34!
I hope you find the Maas and show it on video 😄 that’s a funny story bro. Congrats on 300.. I gotta narrow it down to 3 busts, there are a few that come to mind
Funny stories. Sounds like a cool response idea. I’ll give you one of mine right now. I was so happy when I pulled a Jose Cruz Jr Bowman rookie card. It was $25 in the Beckett back then. My uncle tried to trade me some stuff for it but I didn’t want to let it go. Now it’s like a 75 cent card. 😆 All good though. Still part of the Puerto Rican pc.
@@victornegroncards Lol, that’s how it be sometimes. Crazy how we see the same thing happen over and over with these rookie cards going for so much hundreds and sometimes thousands, then they drop to a few bucks.
