That's the fun of Battlegrounds to me. Seeing how insane your board can get, not winning. I'm always a little upset when they just die like that too.

The only better rush than improving a board is to actually pull off a Hail Mary transition to get first place.

Kripp is so pretentious, he refused to recognize that sniping the hydra was the only reason he won.
Can't tell you how many times this happens in Battlegrounds. You get an amazing roll, freeze it, and that same turn either you die, or you win. It's incredibly annoying.

So.. the way to play vashj is to get insanely lucky highrolling bob's tavern through the early game. got it!
Theres a lot of comments like these when the game doesnt match the intro but it doesnt mean that hes wrong.
The way to play Vashj is to know in what way you were lucky, and make plays based on your cards dealt
Yeah it's based off the standard evolve Shaman. High roll your minions by tiering them up.

but it's not really luck tho, your level with high-rank minions, and get 2 6, or 3 5. then the chances to get some quality card to transition to end game is higher, I think this hero is underrated actually, way better then elise.
I love how the intro with Kripp being cheery and passionate about the new hero transitions into him being incredibly reluctant to play her lol.

Haven't seen any new hero yet, but I'm sure I'll do it when I play her anyway because I mostly play BG while browsing reddit or whatever and I'm gonna level on auto pilot lol
Nope, I ALWAYS buy the minion first and then level, no matter the hero
Notice that when he upgraded to tier 2, he bought 1 minion and there were 2 minions on the board. Only those 2 were upgraded. So when you upgrade, make sure Bob has the maximum number of minions for optimum effect.
What is the addon called, Kripp is using for combat win/loss percentages?
I always thought that holy mackerel should be used that way but never saw anyone taunt it on purpose before. Thought they knew something I didn't. Glad to see someone finally doing that though

Just remember to buy your triple BEFORE you upgrade tavern :D Happened to me in my first game and probably caused me to place 4th instead of 1-2. I had two spawns and got a 3rd one, but accidentally upgraded tavern before buying the spawn... Also had a Baron already.... Then i had to later sell the 2nd Spawn to get more space on board. This hero is decent, but Nozdormu is pretty much the same actually and much better.

When I played Lady Vashj, I hard levelled and froze ecery turn, ending up with 6 6 stars that I could buy.
All these videos prove that Kripp just loves buffing murlocs. It doesn’t matter if his opponent is dead or has conceded.

A big disadvantage with this hero is that when you are about to triple you can’t tavern up before you buy it to to get a higher tavern tier minion. (Edit, exactly what happens in this game).
Edit. I was wrong! had not slept for two days. You should just buy it and triple it, but wait to play it. You could just level up when it is in your hand, and then play it.
On the bright side you can buy it, tavern up, then play it.
You can, actually. The level of minion you get when you play a triple is above the level you are when you play the card, not what level you are when you triple it.
Just triple the card, level and then play, and it will work as normal

Because he did some gamer math and determined it could still kill most things in 1 hit (for this turn) and planned to poison it next opportunity
Because he had two Holy Mackerels that is one of the best combos in the game as you can chain them. His fresh Mackerel didn't have enough damage, so he poisoned it first as he thought the already in-play mackerel's damage was already enough in most cases.

0:16 "slightly worse than Elise" I would say "so much worse than Nozdormu", it's a free reroll but only when you tavern up, very trash. 6:19 that is not a problem with Nozdormu, for example.

I find it better than Elise. With Elise you have to pay just to see, with Vash you dont need to. Also you upgrade the other ones, and that's also a plus.

What happens if you just have 2 holy mackerels and 1 has taunt and the other doesn't and both have divine shield? They would just keep trading divine Shields forever?
Windfury divine shield double hits and kills mackerel or taunted mackerels shields are down and shielded mackerel attacks into a 0 attack egg (not impossible by a longshot with kangor builds).
Eventually the divine-shieldless one would be attacking or get attacked.
non taunt attacks , taunt gets attacked (non taunt has divine shield now) taunt attacks, dies. end.

You really have to give them both taunt (or well dont) if you wanna have endless cycles.

Kinda want it just so you can end up with an infinite fight, with mackerels on both sides refreshing each other’s divine shield
Also it starts with divine shield and poisonous
Gets upset at winning first place too easily. In the meantime, I literally lost a 82%, 88% and a 98.5% to win back to back to back, then lost a 60/40 as the underdog and finished in 7th.
