"People are dumb. People are stupid."
Meanwhile, TierZoo has humans at 100/100 for intelligence.
I think there's a problem with the scaling.
Even when John von Neumann's wife said, "this man can divide two 8 digit numbers in his head, but he can't count calories," it checks out.
'cos humans be humaning, and when artificial general intelligence enters stage left, we'll be shocked to realise that we were only a 0.2/100 all along.

      Meh, that's easy. 2,000,000 divided by 1,000,0000 = 17. Didn't touch a calculator.

The funny thing about intelligence is that the smarter a creature is, the more stupid stuff it can get into. I think the reason is that intelligence comes with curiosity, so a whole lot of "what's over there," "what's that taste like," "what happens when..."
Now, you add being young and male to the mix, and you're guaranteed to see some stupid shit. *Especially* if there's a female in the vicinity. The more intelligent a creature is, the more creative, life-threatening ways it can come up with to impress potential mates. "Because the chicks dig it."
All this adds up to TierZoo being completely right. Humans top the intelligence scale in part *because* we're the creature most likely to get ourselves killed doing something stupid.

Being smart compared to everything else that lives on Earth doesn't change the fact people are dumb. Just means everything else is even dumber.

What an ingenious post to make the point humans are dumb.
Complaining about humans being 100/100 on a 100 base scale where humans are the basis (Literally impossible for them to be anything else).

QUESTION: What is the difference between an ANIMAL and a HUMAN?
ANSWER: The ability to OVERRIDE INSTINCT / CONTROL EMOTIONS.
Far too many "homo sapiens" are NOT CAPABLE of this SELF-CONTROL.

1:00 "Things that are brightly coloured" ... like a feminist/woman with bright red/green/blue hair for example? It is extremely unwise for any man to touch those.

I wonder if colonial animals might give us some insight into how multicellular life evolved. Like, most single-celled organisms reproduce by cloning themselves in a process similar to budding. Then there are things like slime molds that are single cells but contain multiple nuclei. Then there are syphonophores that have multiple cells, but the cells or groups of cells are individual animals (and how do we determine that?). There are syphonophores like the man-o-war that have specialized individuals within the colony.
Then there are what we think of as "normal" multicellular organisms that are physically separate individuals with specialized cells forming organs and connective tissues. Are all the previously mentioned types of creatures how we got to this point? It's interesting to think about.
