    Great video.
    On the XMR version you have to pull the front bumper also, just 4 bolts.
    This video kept me from tearing the entire front end apart so THANK YOU!!!!

      I thought I uploaded it a while back I must have deleted before the upload. I had to re edit the footage. You could also try foam cannon once radiator is off no full blast pressure washer. Good luck and I hope it helps. My bike has not overheated since.

    Soak you radiator with simple green then scrub gently with hot water and soft bristle brush then flush to clean the coils. If your motor was jammed even if you freed it the shaft seal failed and you got water in it and it seized. If it seized once it’s not long for this world, replace it. Or just go ahead and risk it but you never know where you’ll be when it seizes next. Leaving you high and dry and needing a pull toy pull to get you back to the trailer.

      It would help if your fan cuts on also.

    These videos are very helpful, but I have a 2022 850 XTP. There are no videos for it. The service manual says the whole front module has to be removed, all of the plastic, and even the bumper and winch. I ended up taking it to the dealer and telling them to put in a new radiator!! Now, I will put it up for sale and buy something easier to service. NO MORE CAN AMS OF ANY MODEL!!
    Even an oil and filter change requires too much disassembly!

      What’s a service manual? 😆 Yeah I’m not sure about the XTP MODEL. I also had an Xmr and I serviced it myself as well. Not sure why you would have to do all that for the radiator most of these frames are then same. My friend has a Polaris and he says they are way easier to service. Good luck with your next bike. Thanks for the comment.

    Really hot water, almost to a boil would be better I believe, maybe with some dawn to break up that soil on the radiator. Hot Hot water, like 165 degrees would make a lot of difference, but you don't want to use a high pressure washer, it will damage the vents in the radiator.

    • @JZDIGITAL
      @JZDIGITAL  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, haven’t tried that yet. Maybe in a pump sprayer like you said boiling hot.. gonna try that next time.

    So my outlander 450 G2 is smoking from the rad, and my fan wouldn't come on the whole time I was riding in the woods. I got home unplugged my temp sensor, and the fan will come on so I know it's not my fan. I have a new temp sensor I bought as a spare because it did this before when she got wet. But the next day the fan came on, and well this time she's not and I let it sit and dry out for a few days. So my next question is the rad clogged maybe? I've never seen it smoke before. Idk if maybe it's just water burning off from the water holes, and after getting sprayed down with the pressure washer or what. It's been colder here now, so it's hard to determine what is causing the smoke. Wondering if I should change the thermostat, and see if it makes a difference. Just it looks like it's a pain to take the rad and fan out.

    • @JZDIGITAL
      @JZDIGITAL  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a pain to remove the radiator , I think it is steam coming out or off the radiator. Is the “hi temp” showing on the display? If not, and the fan is coming on I wouldn’t worry about it. Check fluid levels when cold make sure you have enough. As a pain as it is yo remove the radiator if you ride mud a lot I would take it off unbolt the fan and run water through both sides to keep from clogging maybe once or twice a year.

    • @kingdon9690
      @kingdon9690 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JZDIGITAL the thing is the fan won't come on even after letting it run for 20 minutes, I just changed my temp sensor. I took it for a ride up, and down my trail doing 40mph still nothing happens. Now when I use to ride it all summer the fan would come on within 20 mins of riding or just idling. I'm seeing smoke coming off both sides of my radiator. I touched the coolant hoses, and radiator and they felt only warm to the touch even after riding it. I do use it in the mud a lot, and I'm not easy on her. I appreciate the information, I'm just not looking forward to taking the rad off. 😂 But like I said I know the fan will come on when the sensor is unplugged, and it now has a new one on it. So that isn't the issue, and I got a limp mode home earlier and check engine light. Then I drove it out of the woods, and in the middle of heading back it went off. I'm thinking it's clogged like yours was.

    • @JZDIGITAL
      @JZDIGITAL  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I replaced my fan with an aftermarket fan I had to zip tie it cuz I didn’t bolt exactly, making sure you fan is comes on is important. You can try straight from the battery. Mine mess up I think from coming on while In the water.

    • @kingdon9690
      @kingdon9690 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JZDIGITAL see the fan works though, if the fan didn't work it wouldn't of came on when unplugging the temp sensor. It's either clogged or possibly a stuck thermostat. Otherwise I was told could be water or something because I washed it hrs ago, and everything

    • @JZDIGITAL
      @JZDIGITAL  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So… fan comes on but only when you unplug the sensor but not when running! Hmmm. It’s cheaper to test radiator to see if its clogged just a little elbow grease. Have not had to test my water pump but that would be my next option. Not sure at the moment, mine stopped overheating 🥵 when I replaced fan and I clean mine after every ride.

    • @JZDIGITAL
      @JZDIGITAL  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would not tip it off with just any coolant. Some say you can, others say you shouldn’t. I’d replace it with original from Can am dealer. Mixing coolants may cause coolant to sludge and ruin engine.
