I get the tears eyes thing. I felt that way when Tiana came out. It's hard to explain but it touches some place deep within us. It's the inner child thing.

Yesssss Disney has come a long way! I too grew up watching the lion king and others in its hey day, I feel so much gratitude and honour that they are portraying my culture through this beautiful animation in the next disney golden renaissance! Even if it doesn't make big bucks around the world Its already one of those classics in my eyes.

I had the honor of watching the pre screening w/some of our PI Community leaders last monday at the disney studio, and it's a MUST SEE Movie! Definitely hit home. I can't wait to watch the finish product on thanksgiving w/family.

LOL yes! I had the honor of being apart of the screening. Such a dope experience! Esp bc the producer was there. Very humbling bc as Pacific Islanders we were able to see the film before the press did. & just being able to give feedback to the producer, and ask questions, was pretty cool. A lot of tears, and joy of appreciation when we finished watching it. I can't say much about the movie or plot of story bc I signed a NDA form, but I will say that it's a MUST SEE Movie! Blessings. #MOANA

It's getting annoying to see some Polynesian people complain about things from the movie. At first, they were complaining about how Maui looks "fat", but we all know Polynesian men are big and strong, not "fat". Now they are complaining about the Maui costumes?

That movie looks so awesome that it makes me want to go back to the beach in Puerto Rico ( the island I'm from) so bad. Now, the controversy with Maui's costume is ridiculous. The Halloween costume has fabric that looks like skintone because Maui doesn't wear a shirt and his body is covered in tattoos. Do they expect kids go out Trick or treating under a 40 degrees Farenheight weather just wearing a hula skirt and their bare skin covered in sharpie tattoos? It's like wearing pantyhose. Pantyhose come in skintone colors: tan, jet black, nude, etc. Are pantyhose offensive too? Carajo!

Linds I got a VIP pass for a local theater that was showing it for the local press.. I have a good friend who couldn't make it so they gave me and Sarah the passes... OMG I laughed and Holy HEI HEI did I cry... this movie is one of my favorite films if not #1 right now.. for me the story of Frozen was great but this film has hardcore family feels to it that just took my breath away. I am gonna do a video here shortly.

after having seen the movie - I have to say that this trailer was not good. The movie was top notch amazing, the trailer .... not so much.
