- In the most recent Halo MCC Update, the official mod tools for Halo 2 got several new weapons and vehicles added to it from the Digsite team. Let's check out what they are!

I love the idea of the piglet just being the official dev made version of the Hoglet from Cursed Halo

Considering this was in the Digsite folder, presumably somebody at Bungie all those years ago had made the Piglet purely for laughs, only for the Cursed Halo team to make the Hoglet in much the same vein without any idea that the idea had been done before. 😆

Well. InfernoPlus did something incredibly similar as apart of his latest iteration of Cursed Halo.

True, but the Piglets are one seaters, making it more like traditional Mario Kart, while in Cursed Halo it is a two seater like double dash was. Also the Mario Kart map has desync issues (less on the Cursed Halo campaign version), and this is Halo 2 and not Halo CE. Either way, I think it is a great idea.
Annoyingly, Halo 2 doesn't have a race game mode.

Fun fact: the Uber chess (civilians cars) we're supposed to be drivable by grunts but it got cut however the vangefull vadum talked about this and he brought it back
I feel as if they should be easter eggs that you'll get if you go to a certain area or do something specific. instead of being there every single time you play.

I think that would be great too! There is a lot of material from early versions of Halo 4 that could be reverse-engineered into awesome community-made mods!

As a firearms enthusiast irl I definitely appreciate that they added the reload animations when the weapon is empty to chamber a fresh round. That always annoyed me in the games

I am almost certain the Piglet is a direct result of the Hoglet from InfernoPlus's Cursed Halo.

@@tmi1234567Given how all of the Digsite content is cut content from the original games being finished up and reimplemented with the mod tools, I'd say it's more likely that InfernoPlus has nothing to do with this, and it's all a big coincidence.

Won’t happen for console. A lot of mod authors would say their mods were stolen, used without their permission, third party scripts could ruin the console itself.

I love the "new" melee and reload animations. The Full Reload for the BR is a bit scuffed but otherwise it's great

Actually the BR reload was fine. If you look it's like a HK mp5 or other HK pattern rifles where there's a slot to lock the bolt back. Then after inserting fresh mag, hits the bolt release as the weapon is brought back down level, therefore chambering a round
@@chipsdubbo5.56 right, but I think it should have been better emphasized, because it looks like the bolt is magically locked back into action. (Like Modern Warfare and Rainbow Six Siege have the player very clearly press the Bolt Release on the FN SCAR) Or just manually hitting the Charging Handle is visually better too, like we see in the Assault Rifle in literally every Halo game including CE. It's a very minor thing either way, I still like it

I love these original reload animations. They are far more detailed than ones we get in the base game. H2 retail's animals are underwhelming compared to the ones shown here, as well as the expressive, emphatic ones we see in Combat Evolved. I love the way the spartan pulls back the bolt on the SMG, BR, and sniper!
Digsite is the best thing to happen for Halo in years!

If I'm not mistaken, you used to be able to mod some of the Halo 3 ODST cars to become driveable and the Uberchassis looks like one of them.
If you have H2EK already installed and you do the steam update to H2EK should it already add the "dig site" folder? I can't find it. Or do I need to re-extract the H2EK zip folder?

I remember seeing so many videos of mongoose mods for halo ce and 2 back in the day before halo 3 came out.
This is pretty damn cool. We get an official hoglet, well, piglet. Infernoplus has had such an impact that the Hoglet is now in the game, officially. Now we need the Warthog limo, please.

No, the Piglet was already in the files, they just had a team restore all that cut content. It wasn't because of Inferno

The "uberchasis" is just a skinned warthog.
The physics are different. Turning at speeds makes it liable to tip over as you can see at the end of the demonstration

The empty and non-empty animations for the weapons immediately gave me the impression of "halo fans: nooo!! Call E Dutie!" And I'd agree with that assessment.

This is just a nitpicky thing, but uberchassis is pronounced like oo-ber-chas-ee. So swap the "iss" sound you made for an "ee" sound.

It's so cool finally being able to see these vehicles in action. Also, just a tip, the Uberchassis is pronounced like "Uber Chassey." The last S is silent. Google's your friend when coming across a word you don't know
Some ppl do say Chassis with an S at the end in some parts of the world. English pronunciation changes depending where you are in the world, there's a lot of words that are different depending where you are, but seeing as we're on the internet, and therefore the person you are talking to could be from anywhere in the world, it may not be correct of you to correct their pronunciation, as where they come from that may be how they pronounce it. Therefore from their point of you, you leaving out the S would be incorrect. Therefore no one is more correct than the other, language is subjective and alterable.
