  • The newest engine from "Evolution Engines" division of Horizon Hobby is this 10cc (.60 cu. in.) gasoline fueled, CDI spark ignition version of their glow fuel powered "60NX".
This is hopefully the first in a series of new small block gas engines from Evolution. The hobby has been ripe for this size 'gas' engine for a few years and so far the only other contenders have been basically failures. Horizon Hobby states that this particular engine has been under testing and development for two and a half years. Having the Evolution name plate, it is expected that this engine will prove to be reliable and service and support will be first class as is already the case with Horizon.
Enjoy the unboxing video! The next video will be of this engine running on a test stand. Stay tuned!

I do not know. But since the 60NX is based on a 40 sized crankcase, I would hazard a guess that yes, it would fit.

I got a little extra 260 .40 size from texas rc planes i think this would be a perfect engine but i noticed on the specs that my thundertiger .46 is pushin 1.6 bhp at 16000 and this only gives 1.7 still a lot cheaper than nitro and a bigger prop should give a lot more thrust but i'm not sure the weight difference (1/2 lb) would be made up in thrust compared to what i have now but that can't be right this would have to have more power i would think than a thundertiger .46 as well as thrust
