Well, it took six years, but finally the construction toy manufacturers that I get my vehicles from finally decided to make these wonderful machines. I bought mine today and it’s the largest wheel loader that I have in my toy construction fleet measuring in at an astonishing 66.4 cm from the bucket to the engine. When I compared it to the Liebherr 574 that I have I was impressed at just how much bigger of a wheel loader. It is than that. This wheel loader is acting as a replacement for that L5 74 due to the fact that last year I was scooping up some Legos with the L5 74 in the roll, cage decided it was going to completely break off, and it was beyond repair at that point of its service life. So now it is an open seat wheel loader with no protection for my little figure that I would put inside of it to drive it and when I had first heard about this new one I wasn’t sure how much bigger or smaller. It was going to be, but when I came across it in the store today, I was blown away.

That looks like a smooth machine to drive, I spent a lot of time on L150s and L180s and a few competitor machines of similar sizes, the Komatsu WA470 was close but I found it cumbersome at times and lacked the finess, Case ???? whatever they were came close but after putting over a 1000hrs on one in barely 3 months I found it was already showing wear in the bushes, I will add that it was fitted with an auto lube from factory and consumed about a 2 cartridges per week of grease so no lack of lubrication in the joints, I drove various CAT shovels and the earlier ones were very HD but the later ones, whilst being more refined were still big lumps to swing around in, but you do the best with what you've got I suppose.

thats what i love about volvo, the smootheness and finesse. its worth way more then having a machine with slightly more brute force

The L260 and 350 do have nice hydraulics but they are actually constructed to be more powerful then L150-220H wich have the TP-linkage. With the z-bar linkage you loose smothness and finesse for power basically.

These things need a dudes-with-shovels-equivalent rating, as in how many dudes with shovels would it take to do the same amount of work? Also I like the low angle.

I wish they would put the cab on the front half of the chassis like machines used to have as they were so much better.

Well, on the surface, they seem like they would be better if you had the cab on the front half of the chassis, but the only problem with that is it’s not as safe if you’re in an accident because if the loader were to flip over, you would basically get torn to pieces by the bucket also in certain applications it would make them top-heavy, which could have more accidents to occur as well as not being able to handle the load capacity so I would say where the cab is now is a lot better than being on the front half of the chassis. It looks cool but that’s about all that is good for..

@@alextheobserver1573 what a lot of nonsense. I used loaders like that for 40 ys no problems.
