Brief Life History of Blessed Marta Anna Wiecka

Marta Anna Wiecka (12 January 1874 - 30 May 1904) was a Polish Roman Catholic religious woman of the Vincentian Sisters. She accepted the name of "Maria" after taking her commitments. Wiecka worked all through her life as a medical caretaker in different emergency clinics in both Poland and in the Ukraine.[1]
Wiecka was glorified on 24 May 2008 after a particular supernatural occurrence was credited to her intervention. Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone managed the beatification for the benefit of Pope Benedict XVI.
