Hello, latetly I wasnt able to flash 4 boards, they dont wake up after flashing. It looks good on the pc, same as you have. But then power button does nothing ;( any idea why?
Well, i connected both channels, but as i later found out, steering was not configured in the code. It was later added by a Github Genius, so as you can see, here, it works th-cam.com/video/Ww_59NLo0_o/w-d-xo.html

Did you wire the receiver properly? don't use positive from sensor board, it is +15v and it can (and will) fry your receiver. use +5v from hall sensor. the green and blue are signals for channel 1&2
anyway to keep the normal functionality of the board but modify the frimware for better speed? im using my board with the cart attachment but want it to go faster

your receiver works at 5v while the motherboard inputs are at 3.3v. did you connect the ppm signal directly without destroying anything? ... have you ever had problems with signal disturbances?
The actual firmware written by NiklasFauth is for STM32 microcontroller and i see you have a GD32F103 microcontroller. Can we directly flash that firmware to GD32 controller?
Hi, I have flashed your code but when trying to use the rc remote, trim is very difficult to get the control to be stable, and when going over a certian range in on the control the motors go crazy and do not stop until battery is removed. Is there something I am missing? what is your input pinout for PWM in from RC receiver?
In the end I flashed again with the code from Emanuel Feru. I set the mode to PWM and made sure to disable debug on uart2 as the config file states. And yes a short cable on the pwm from Rx to board is best. Works very well indeed.
Great video! I know this was published quite a while ago but I have a question. I have a different board from an offroad hoverboard I would like to do this to. The part number on it appears to be PU2018051901 G3.0. The board looks similar. Any idea if this will work with my board? Also, I am using a different transmitter and receiver.
Sorry for my late reply, but, YES. it should work normally. By now, i flashed 3 different boards, but had a problem on only one. Tao Tao - the switch was not working anymore, so i had to replace it with a permanent switch, and that's it. No, after flashing custom firmware, there's no turning back... Although, i found a custom firmware which seems to be bringing the original functions of a hoverboard, but i'm not sure...

Ah you mean the Gyro sensor boards? No, you don't need them anymore, but for the wheel to move you'll need those 5 wires from hall sensor in the wheel.
Thanks. I flashed two boards with this firmware. one works perfectly (YST) but the other (Tao Tao) had some issues like - it would not stay on, so i had to connect a table lamp ON-OFF switch... but basicaly, any board should work!
very nice project. got mine workong yesterday but having a small issue on ful lload. sometimes when I take finger of reverse throttle it stuck in full power :D used the updated with turning firmware. Also in config found 4 cell batery but hoverboard is 10 cels 10s does that sound right?
did you try connecting 2 hoverboards to one reciever? cause i tried with your firmware and once i power them on they back feed to one another and go bezerk.

Problem kod skretanja je ovaj,vasa stanica (upravljac) nema Ppm izlaz na reciveru nego Pwm sto nije dobro jer ppm podrzava vise kanala po jednoj zici a pwm samo jedan kanal..Trebala bi vam druga stanica koja ima ppm izlaz na prijemniku...
Da... Nabavio sam si PPM dekoder ali mibse tada događalo da mi se mjesaju kanali pa nekad radi dobro a u drugom trenutku ne radi nikako. Ovo je postavka sa PWM izlazom na kojem je jedna žica skretanje a druga naprijed- nazad, ali negdje u kodu su zbrkani tajmeri pa nisam dobivao skretanje... Srećom, naletio sam na firmware gdje je to riješeno i radi, tako da, hvala na savjetu... Kroz koji dan ću snimiti kako radi sa PWM signalom!

Nisam siguran... Ali cini mi se da vrlo brzo staje kad se pusti rucica, a ako bi htjeli da staje momentalno, morali bi se malo poigrati sa postavkama firmwarea prije nego ga ucitate u maticnu plocu

@@snowkingcro Moj haverboard je sad upravo otisao sa 0% snage na 100% i u osnovi lansirao bateriju i maticnu u zrak ali za sada je sve prezivjelo, ja pokusavam napraviti elektricni romobil sa dva hoverboard tocka. Ali ne znam zasto je to uradio sa potenciometrom to moram malo istraziti jer hocu da projekat radi bez arduina i bez pwm-a vec samo preko rucice za gas koja ima potenciometar u sebi.
To je jedan od mojih projekata u skorije vrijeme... Ali na.mom prijasnjem videu sam se igrao sa potenciometrima i nisam imao problema. Pot bi trebao biti u neutralu kada ga spajaš na ploču, sto znači, na sredini, ili što bliže sredini...

Is your receiver and remote 3.3v. I tried this received and remote ( vanpro Electric Skateboard DIY V2 Edition 2.4G Mini Wireless Remote Control Receiver Transmit 80 Meters Away Wireless www.amazon.com/dp/B07L498PZR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6VVaEbASA45EZ) and while it paired it failed to work . This guy online said it failed cause the signal from green needs to be 3.3v not 5

Naravno! Ovisno o prilagodbi firmwarea, moguce je koristiti i joystick za kretanje i skretanje!

I took the positive (+5v) and negative from the hall sensor, then the signal from adc input (blue and green) for ch1 and ch2!

From hall sensor - only the red one goes to the receiver - the +5v for power! The full pinout can be found on the link in the description...

i took the 5V from hall sensor connector (can bee seen on 3:00 mark), and i just plugged a pin in there, so i had'nt cut anything

If the motors go crazy, check cables, keep them short!

Are there different versions of hoverboard or do they all use the same components?
There are a dozen of different boards. but general, it's all the same
motherboard turns off when there is no movement at transmitter
its working good but when i want to stop it
it just turned off how to fix that

No, I didn't, but if you get the backfeed, i'd use some diodes to prevent the power going the wrong direction

Hi. Used your file for flashing. Got remote working. Wheels start spinning. But. Can you tell, why howerboard beeping all the time. And wheels not moving smooth. Looks like for milisecond brake get on then wheel spinning again. Both weels, but not in same time
Keep the cables short... if you make them long, you get stuttering and stuff that gets you only mad
Pozdrav, Trebam pwm firmware bez isključivanja motora u neutralnom. Možete s twist, ali ne nužno. Napravit ćemo dječji auto, potrebno je da se zaustavi kada ispustite plin. Možete li mi dati ovu verziju firmvera? ako nije teško =)

Nisam siguran... Ali cini mi se da vrlo brzo staje kad se pusti rucica, a ako bi htjeli da staje momentalno, morali bi se malo poigrati sa postavkama firmwarea prije nego ga ucitate u maticnu plocu
snowkingcro On uopće ne staje. Kada pustiš, kotači nastavljaju da se rotiraju od inercije. I hoću kada otpustim kočnicu.
Razumijem... Ali ne znam kako vam pomoći osim da kopate i tražite po glavnom repositoriju...
Ja sam trenutno zapeo sa skretanjem i trebat će mi vremena da to riješim... 😟

@@snowkingcro Moj haverboard je sad upravo otisao sa 0% snage na 100% i u osnovi lansirao bateriju i maticnu u zrak ali za sada je sve prezivjelo, ja pokusavam napraviti elektricni romobil sa dva hoverboard tocka. Ali ne znam zasto je to uradio sa potenciometrom to moram malo istraziti jer hocu da projekat radi bez arduina i bez pwm-a vec samo preko rucice za gas koja ima potenciometar u sebi.
To je jedan od mojih projekata u skorije vrijeme... Ali na.mom prijasnjem videu sam se igrao sa potenciometrima i nisam imao problema. Pot bi trebao biti u neutralu kada ga spajaš na ploču, sto znači, na sredini, ili što bliže sredini...

Please check your pinout connection, some boards need the power from the battery, some work over USB.
Is your receiver and remote 3.3v. I tried this received and remote ( vanpro Electric Skateboard DIY V2 Edition 2.4G Mini Wireless Remote Control Receiver Transmit 80 Meters Away Wireless www.amazon.com/dp/B07L498PZR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6VVaEbASA45EZ) and while it paired it failed to work . This guy online said it failed cause the signal from green needs to be 3.3v not 5

But... If the 5v is to much for your rc, i woud use a resistor to low it down a bit... It's not a drainer...

@@snowkingcro you think you could post your firmware bin I have a feeling the complier I used messed something up. I do get 5v on my controller and I am able to pair it but the ppm signal doesnt seem to work
