This is a genuine GS400 which is verified in the VIN number, it's a factory red car too. It's been body off frame restored.
EXTERIOR: The body and paint are in excellent condition on this GS. The metal is straight from every angle you look at it, the panels all fit square and flush. I ran my hand all along the bottoms, it's perfectly smooth. I did not find a bubble or a crack, I did find a couple minor nicks that have been touched up. It is code R for apple red. The paint is polished like glass. Overall the chrome on the car fits really well, it's bright and shiny. Up front the bumper, grill and headlight bezels all look real nice. The chrome scoops on the hood look really good. It has the original antenna. Stainless trim and the chrome around the vent windows are real nice. In back the bumper and trim are shiny. There is some pitting on the taillights. Door jambs are painted real nice, has new weather strips and window fuzzy seals. The windshield looks new. Power convertible top is black and in excellent condition.
INTERIOR: Exceptionally nice inside. All the white is the same shade- the upholstery, painted metal, seat backs are all one color. It all looks like new. The cushions in the seats are nice and firm. The dash area is beautiful- all the chrome, lenses are excellent. There's no pitting, everything fits nice, nothing's cut, worn or broken. The steering wheel doesn't even have a crack in it. It has bucket seats with the center console in the middle. The carpets are excellent. Interior lights work throughout, even in the console. Armrests, window cranks, dash pad is all excellent.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is an original 1967 400 motor. We checked casting dates and codes. It runs smooth as can be. It's all stock- the manifolds, valve covers, stickers and even the very rare and desirable Star Wars air cleaner on top. The surrounding compartment is clean and proper. All the components look clean and proper- new alternator, squirters are hooked up, original spring clamp battery cables, fan shroud is not broken. It features power steering and power brakes. The metal surfaces are smooth and painted nicely. Bottom of the hood is glossy with hood insulation.

Very nice car Jay. Not one l've recall seeing before. The only anomaly that comes to mind is the "Star Wars" airfilter. Not certain about the dates but this car is about 10years older than the first "Star Wars" film ? 😱😱 Regardless. Someone has already decided this is much more fun than a new Camaro for the same money and the chances are only one of these will increase in value . It's a no brainer .Thanks Jay.

When I think about spending $40-$45k on a new Camaro convertible and then I see a classic like this..... IDK, I might have to go classic!?

No GS had fender skirts. That was Skylark only could have been code H Green Mist. The air breather was 67 GS only on the 400 and Riviera.

Everyone seems to go for the GTO, Chevelle and 442s...but these Gran Sports are fantastic vehicles and probably my favorites of mid-late 60s GM muscle.

I'd take the truck tires off and put a set of redlines on it otherwise it's a beautiful vehicle.
