I've always loved rain in summer. But having grown up in an uninsulated, drafty, damp old house, winter rain was always so cold that it was pretty miserable. Now that I live in a warm, dry, modern house I really enjoy rainy days. As long as you're warm and comfortable, any weather can be enjoyable.

I think for those of us who live in sunny California and in right now it’s been so dang hot lately except the past couple of days we are getting a wee break in temps! I lived in Alaska for my first 8 years and in southern Oregon for 7 years and I dearly miss mountains and the rain. I love the Pacific Northwest. I’m so hot here. Right now I can’t afford to move. I’m a senior. If I could believe me I would change my situation. We say the grass is always greener on the other side? But in California I’ve actually attempted living in the desert twice in Indio and in Hesperia and I absolutely can not do it. I have family who lived the Phoenix, Arizona area and it’s a nice place to visit but I really get physically ill when the temperature goes over 80 degrees. So even in Los Angeles county where I live I’m not comfortable many months of the year! Dear lady sharing this beautiful weather and rain on an island in Scotland believe me, many of us would love this in a heartbeat!! I've always hated the sun. It's hot, it makes everything smell bad and it makes me anxious.
I'm so happy to finally be living in a place that's green with grey skies. The rain give so much life to the earth and brings me so much peace and inspiration.
I hope you get the opportunity to live somewhere temperate and beautiful soon. I know it's hard to pay the bills in California and actually save up enough money to move all the way out of the desert.

the VIEW is absolutely gorgeous omg... personally im a huge fan of rain and cloudy weather so thats not just not a dealbreaker, but a bonus! ive wanted to move to scotland for a while now. i was planning on moving to stirling since its a smaller town so less busy than the cities, but perfectly in between glasgow and edinburgh for maximum opportunities... but ngl you might have convinced me islands are the way to go. my family were from mull so maybe i should simply embrace my dna lmao

I found that as an adult for me, i loooove rainy days even if its for more than half the year, i learnt to appreciate summer, or a summers day inthe middle of winter more.

Potassium citrate for cramps is a Game Changer!! I wish someone told me about it & castor oil packs on the liver leading up to your period since it helps the liver release bile which can contain excess estrogen 🙌🏻 hope this helps someone who’s tried everything & still cramps super bad🩵💜

Please don't ever feel bad for choosing to actively take care of yourself to feel your best, if a hot bath is what makes you feel better, that is a purely positive and productive thing to do, and time of day has nothing to do with that. Fill your own cup and all that.

Can't wait until women everywhere can confidently and comfortably talk about their periods and celebrate their periods. Men who find a huge issue with women on their periods, I wonder if they truly like women at all. I understand it's a taboo thing, but it's a natural thing and I just can't wait until women globally are talking about it on unreserved. It's a process that is deeply connected to nature. Thank you for sharing your cozy day.

Somhairle is the goddamn prettiest name i've ever heard. Adding it to my babyname list immediately. I grew up in Oban, then moved to the woods in Appin. The isolation of island life never appealed to me because i've already lived that isolation. But i've been in Helensburgh for 8 years and your videos are so lovely i think maybe it's time to try and plan a wee trip up north somewhere :D

Oh my gosh hii :D i'm by the tesco garage, we don't usually see the helicopters but we hear them! There's actually a house down the road from the community hub, that street with the pretty cherry blossoms? And it's called Appin, i'm always so curious going past xD
