    Every season I need a refresher on using this amazing tool, but once I see it done again, it is EASY and EFFORTLESS. Highly recommended.
    I appreciate this video and the many others I have access to, by the touch of my finger, to use hunting tools/helps safely. Thank you Ten Point. Jackie R., Maryland

    How can I decock the crossbow if I don’t shoot while hunting? I always take a target and field points to shoot once I’m out of the field.

    Thank you for the video. To the point and well explained. After watching this I think I will keep the ropes.

      I have a couple of AcuDraw units, but I still carry the ropes with those crossbows. The weight balance is better with the AcuDraw installed, this helps a LOT when stalking. It also gives me the option of cranking or pulling to cock the crossbow.

      @@noname47032 so you can still just use a pull rope even with the accudraw on it?

    • @noname47032
      @noname47032 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@troyw1000 Yep, the rope still works as normal.

      @@noname47032 one more question. Does it have to be the "sled" type? Or will the regular pull ropes work?

    • @noname47032
      @noname47032 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@troyw1000 Either type will work. The AcuDraw sled stores out of the way. I have sleds on both of my AcuDraw units but the rope I use sometimes has regular hooks.
      It's possible to be totally quiet with the AcuDraw, you can push the engage lever down just slightly but still feel the ratchet working. You should feel spring pressure on the lever, and if you let it go, it'll snap back to the engaged position. If you crank the handle like this you won't get all the noise but it could allow the bow to dry fire if the handle slips from your grasp.
      For me, the ropes are a backup. I use the AcuDraw almost exclusively now, but I keep the ropes around. I have a Barnett that has no crank device available, it's either use a rope or the Dual Armstrong device.

    Very good video short and to the point. I have a TP carbon Fusion and could not cock it manually if I did not have the ACUdraw.

    It seems kinda loud for hunting or is it more quiet in person. I just bought the tenpoint turbo xlt 2 and haven't shot it yet but will soon

    Hey wait a minute. I have the Invader and watching this video looks like the sled just retracts on its own once lifted over the scope. Mine does not do that. I actually have to hand crank it back in its saddle to make it fit snug. Why is that? I am new to Xbows.

    What if you decide not to take a shot after the trigger mechanism been engaged? How would you bring cable back to rested position?

      TenPoint says fire a field tip arrow into soft ground. You can fire a special decocking bolt, some are reusable. You can fire the field tip or even a broadhead into a purpose made target.
      There's also a decocking tool available through a third party.

    My only problem with the accudraw is....your chances of getting off a second shot at a deer is slim to none due to the time it takes.
