  • Aya and I have headed away for an overnight stay at a beautiful remote Northland beach. It also happens to be an awesome spot to have a dive, so after a beautiful sunset followed a chilly night, conditions are perfect for a morning dive.
    Check out the video for the awesome result!

    I love your videos Kerry. They are all at once interesting, intriguing, informative, educational, exciting and....tasty!! It was great to meet the Mrs too. Aren't we privileged to be able to dive like this in NZ! 😄

    That floatboat has it's limits. Nice crays Kerry ...liked to scenic start to this video.👌

      Yeah its not really designed to be used with crayfish, really I should have had my catch bag on the float boat and that would have worked mint but either way it worked out all good tying them on the line...Cheers!!!

    Your breath holds are pretty crazy there. I have to come back up pretty quick after going that deep.

    • @KerryFlowers
      @KerryFlowers  หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you are calm under water your breath hold will be longer, it seems counter intuitive but try slowing things down when you are diving, you will find that your breath hold increases... Cheers!!!

    Hey mate ur a awesome diver have you ever had problems with seals or anything solo diving

    • @KerryFlowers
      @KerryFlowers  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      No issues with seals, if fact we rarely see them up here. Solo diving can be risky usually when I'm solo I will limit the depth that I dive to - trying to stay above 10 meters. This drastically reduces the risk of shallow water blackout, also ensuring adequate surface time between dives helps.

    how long on average is your breath time under water? cheers.

    • @KerryFlowers
      @KerryFlowers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually somewhere around the 70 second mark, anything under 60 seconds would be a short dive and anything over 90 seconds would be a long dive...Cheers!!!

    • @KerryFlowers
      @KerryFlowers  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      So one day I was diving and found some crayfish at the back of a crack, I dived down and wriggled my way into the crack and tried to grab them - I missed and went to get out only to find that my weight belt had got jammed and I was stuck! I had a moment of panic but managed to calm myself and wriggle my hand to the clasp on the belt, release it and free myself but it was definitely a close call and taught me not to try to get into too tight a space...Cheers!!!
