You are always in fix when your watching these life hacks videos. I totally get it. These types of videos are really annoying. Sometimes you just watch it, sometimes you gain something, and sometimes its just a waste of time.
you don't need an angled brush to cut in corners, just a regular brush works perfect, you hold the brush at an angle xD
Toothpaste usually has a bit of abrasive, so it can help get out tiny tiny scratches. Not the scratches they show.
The insulting thing about the melted plastic on wires hack is that there's a faster solution. They make shrink tubes specifically for this. You put them in place and apply heat with a heat gun. A hairdryer will work in a pinch. Even using a lighter, it would take less time since the wrap will shrink faster than the bottle cap would melt, and the wrap doesn't require putting the flame directly on it.
True. But the plastic bottle for wire is a good emergency hack. More likely to have a water bottle and somebody have a lighter around you if, say, your car breaks down then to expect somebody to have shrink tubing or even electrical tape.

I used to try it on old CDs or Xbox 360 games when I was a kid and it never seemed to work. Honestly seemed like it just made more scratches

I know, I'm kind of late, but using "foodstuffs" for repairs isn't all that dumb, as one would think... People have been using baking soda mixed with superglue for years. It creates much stronger bond, than superglue alone and can be used to replace missing chunks of material, like plastic or wood. It also has pretty good mechanical resilience, so it can be used in moving parts, to some extent. There's this guy from channel "Inventor 101", who shows creative ways of using mixture of superglue and baking soda to fix things around house, just look it up.
Just be warned - the reaction of superglue with baking soda is exothermic, which creates more toxic vapors, than when you use just pure superglue, and you don't want to breathe that.
This also reminds me of another YT channel - "Kiwami Japan"; guy from this channel is extremely talented, and he creates actual, working and cutting knives out of basically anything you can think of, even from milk or chocolate😄
Also, the Fanta video reminded me of another "hack". Well, it's not a "hack" really... It's about natural properties of quinine.
Did you know, that tonic water can actually glow? Mind you, that only works with "original" recipe, that contains quinine, which gives that specific, bitter taste to the drink. There are many varieties of tonic water, some of which don't contain any quinine.
So anyway, you just need to expose bottle with tonic water to a direct sunlight for some time, and then while the glow is pretty faint, it can be sometimes seen even at daylight, if you pour the tonic into a darker mug or something.
This is because sunlight contains UV radiation. While ultraviolet is not very penetrating type of radiation, it still carries a lot of energy (which is why we get a tan from it). The chemical structure of a quinine molecule causes it to get excited (it absorbs radiation) and then it radiates it back in a form of a visible glow.
Even better, if you have a UV flashlight (blacklight), just point it at tonic water in a bottle or glass in a dark room, and you can observe the glow pretty much instantly.
Though there's plenty other things u could use, toothpaste is pretty good for simply "cleaning" ur phone or tablet. But obviously it does not fix cracked screens

The apple hack is truly useful. As it isn't open all the way down, you can put other fruits inside. Bake it until the apple is just soft. Now add caramel, chocolate, some other fruit mixture that is thickened, whatever. Slide it back into the oven for a few minutes and a you have a healthy, easy dessert or treat.
Gratification is so much better when you have used all of you (mind, heart, body & soul) to accomplish a task and earn your reward. Instant gratification is so fleeting and leaves you wanting more (not always the mentally healthiest option).

The toothpaste won't fix a crack in a phone screen, but it could fix scratches. It's basically just polish for your teeth, so you could polish the scratches out in some cases, though I don't know if it'd work every time.

Hi, At 6:27. No but if you press hard on the paint buush and slide it down. It will form an angle. So you do not wast a paint brush cutting it.

Hi, you would take the cork screw and de-core an apple with it. So you could cut the apple into thin slices to put on a family size tart or pie.
It is not only the bottle cap, but also the wires are not soldered together.

The paint can tape hack @ 8:42 is one that actually looked legit, I occasionally paint and I am going to try that trick next time I get a painting job.
The container and scoop hack @ 10:10 looks legit as well, not gonna lie gonna try that with my next can of coffee, hate reaching into the grounds to get the scoop.
1:50 toothpaste works for scratches as a polishing agent. I used to use it to polish old CDs that wouldn't work. Not for deep cracks though...
Also works for acne.
Sugar dissolves and cannot not be reconstituted that way.

I've seen many of these "hack" videos that are obviously using hot glue, but it's red, and looks like ketchup. Is standard hot glue sticks red in some countries, instead of clear / off-white? Here in America, standard hot glue sticks are clear, or maybe off-white. I've seen colored sticks, but those are for special craft projects where you're going to see the glue. Seeing "ketchup"-looking stuff used as glue always takes me a half a second to realize what it really is.
