As for the smoking jeep lookinh vehicle, thats called a runaway diesel, its where the diesel engine starts using its engine oil as fuel due to bad seals in the turbo or cylinder head typically, so the oil ends up getting into the cylinders which keeps the diesel running uncontrollably, it'll run untill it explodes, locks up or runs out of oil to burn.
you can stop a runaway engine but like 98% of ppl dont know how as its never taught, you just have to jam anything in the air filter to block oxygen, iv done it in the past when i went past a car in this exact situation and it works a treat

Supercars like that McLaren that was on fire, they burn down due to their exhaust spitting fire(which is normal) and that fire sets the composite body on fire, if they were made from metal and not fiberglass/carbonfiber then they wouldn't catch on fire. That splashy part got some memories that were actually pretty nice (even if very wet). Once some years ago it was nice (around 25'ish Celsium - nice for this area, Latvia) summer day and I decided to take my bicycle and ride to some near (50 km one way) town (city? big village? pardon) for some hilly sightseeing enjoyment. All good but at afternoon clouds started to gather right on my way home. Decision had to be made - to wait few hrs (clouds were sloooow) or... like any *smart* 25 yrs (at that time) old boy would do - "screw this" and ride through rain. Riding in rain itself isn't that bad but this road has 2 car lines in one direction with dips from heavy trucks and 3rd line "unofficial" but de-facto cycling line. So after heavier rain these dips were full with water and each time some truck passed, wall of water came on me from above (literally thrown on you). It was wettest experience buuuuut it was awesome - free shower!

Run away diesel, that’s a scary thing. Happened to a team near me in South Korea. Was walking the flight line and a fuel truck ran away while testing the pumps. I helped them cut the main fuel line and shoved my metal clip board over the intake. Got lucky it actually stopped before running on its own oil.
The car smoking really bad and revving off it rockers is what's called a diesel runaway, the motor will not stop unless you starve the motor of air, and it's better to just leave it because they can explode, you don't want to be near it

Some crazy clips a ship can be guided in by tugboats that flood reminds me of the time I worked in a factory next to a canal we had heavy rain and the canal overflowed I worked 6am to 2pm shifts so first into work the security guard had wellies on the factory was flooded 3ft deep in parts some of the machines had 4ft high motors worth around £200,000 millions of pounds of damage when your rich never buy a lambo amber carbon fibre bodies I believe exhausts can shoot flames out great content once again you always brighten my day

Was gonna say this, a common way to stop it is to cut any air off from the engine, so block intakes etc, or if that doesn’t work, jam the turbo(s)
