Paul Daniels Magic Show S04E03 1982

I uploaded this video a few years ago and although I've a better quality version now on file it seems a shame to have two versions of the same show on the channel. I also noticed as work through each episode that this was originally mis-numbered as episode 4 - it is actually episode!
So here we have...

Paul Daniels sets out to amuse and amaze in his own special fashion and introduces the remarkable skills of his international guests: from Austria, the superhuman strength of Markus from Los Angeles, the magical mime of Tina Lenert.
Fab episode with the geat Tina Lenert (who was a big influence on my own magic act).

I met Paul Daniels in the 80s when I saw his magic 🎩 show in London
I met him afterwards and got his autograph which I still have today I was with my mum

Was the live show a similar format to the tv series? I've never seen a magic act live (although I have always wanted to) but it must be harder to do card tricks because of the distance of the audience. Were most of the tricks on a bigger scale?

thanks for uploading these. Somebody had a few episodes up a few years ago, and then suddenly took them all down. It's nice to see some again. Why the BBC has never repeated these shows is beyond me, given some of the other stuff they repeat. I had the good fortune of seeing Paul and Debbie live last year, and having a nice chat wiht them after the show. Such a loss :(
