Bud I’m no brickie or trade but my dad was. I can tell you care about what you do. I read the comments on most of your videos people moaning about the time you take etc but don’t listen (I suspect you couldn’t give a toss, as you shouldn’t) keep it up my old boy. Love it. 👊🏻
Good job pal. Portland cement instead of lime mortar has just caused a costly and damaging damp problem at your customers house. Old houses require a porous mortar to relieve moisture and you've just blocked its ability to do that.
My choice would have been tuck pointing tool and hawk,
I find its quicker and neater.
All the best.

Many thanks for watching Wally, and you absolutely spot on with your comments, are you in the UK,
I’m in old Norfolk, 👏👍
@@BuildingwithBudd yeah mate in Kent. Old man lives in France now but he’s still grafting away. Happy with a hammer in his hand.
Why not if he likes it 👍👍

It looks like lime!?!
What is the binding agent stuff you used in your newest video? The stuff that makes it stick to your trowel
It’s a Feb mix concentrate made by sika 👍 you only need the slightest drop 👍🧱
@@BuildingwithBudd Oh, thank you. I'll have to look into it
Most builders merchants do there own versions, but whatever you get make sure it’s the concentrate version , best of luck 👍
Ya suppose to get it in the joint not render the brick !! Okay up Pompey 😎😎
He brushes the excess off next day!?!
I like your videos, and have watched for a while, but that pointing isn't very appealing to the eye
Not close up, and he hasn't brushed it off yet!?!
This is crap
It's how they would have done it previously, not the hipster pointing of artisans today!?!
Quite a mess made on the face of those bricks. Unnecessary...use of the proper tools would result in a much neater finished product
