Despite it raining in the video, I found it to be quite relaxing to see no people outside and just let nature take care of herself. The waterfall is by far my favourite part of the video. Just something so mesmerizing about waterfalls and water features. Pair that with beautiful scenery and nature's awesome work, it's a great combo for removing yourself from the daily busy life of the everyday. Although I don't care much for the shopping or more traditionally hot spots as much as the nature spots, I do enjoy a good meal and appreciate good food. It looks like you were treated very well during your stay. Thanks for sharing and bringing us along for the fantastic experience!
Hi Ernest, I have been waiting for your new video! I am glad to watch the new video. I am really missing the greenery scenery in Asia. Hope you stay safe in Japan!
Wow! I want to visit all Catholic Churches in Japan...i admire their resilience in keeping their faith during those persecutions many years ago. Because of Yoshi the Japanese Channel featuring Karuizawa, I'm here... Beautiful green sacred mountains!!!!
Excellent video! This video captured the essence of Karuizawa and it’s beautiful nature. So hard to find videos likes yours as most TH-camrs just blah blah and show very little content, and instead keep their faces in the frame all time. Just want to tell them please show me the place and not yourself. Thank you again for your lovely video!!!
I love your channel dude. Keep up the great work with these gorgeously filmed, well edited and scripted videos; they're informative AND inspiring. Thank you so much for your hard work and personal creativity.
Awesome video! Blending nature and man-made seems to be a big theme in Karuizawa. Too bad they couldn't get the rain to stop in preparation for the boss visiting though. The stone church has got to be my favorite part. The architecture is totally unique.
This is an interesting take on Karuizawa. I was just given a project with Rakuten Travel x Karuizawa Tourism Bureau to create one of their official guides to this area and came across your video by a quick search result. I love drawing inspiration from talented content creators like yourself to get a sense of what others have done and storyboard this concept before embarking on the shoot scheduled for June. Keep doing you! I hope you remain safe during this tough time!
They've moved the toll booth on the road up to the Shiraito Falls closer to Ginza Street. Good short cut to miss the congestion if you're heading north. Downside is they charge you 500 yen. Jack, the Japan Alps 40 years and counting
This is so nice! thanks for uploading. BTW, it seems you are walking a lot. are there buses available to go around? or taxi? Thanks in advance for your response! :) keep on uploading videos like this please
Thank you for the kind words! We took the bus to Kyu-Karuizawa and Harunire Terrace. The other spots like the pond and the Hoshino area we walked to as they were somewhat close to the main spots. For the waterfall, the hotel picked us up and took us there on the way. I hope this helps, thanks for the support!
Would love to absorb the greenery, do the hot spring, and visit a bunch of bakeries and coffee shops :) and save the last full day for shopping lol Can you list the different names of bakeries, etc in your description for easy reference?
This place looks pretty awesome. Who knew that you'd be able to find somewhere like this so close Tokyo. These videos are great for visitor who want to explore the Japan outside of the busy cities.
Thanks for the amazing video man ! However, I see a lot of raining and green leaves. What month did you visit karuizawa? How's the weather in October? I am going to visit there within 2nd-3rd week of October :)
Hi Ernest, nice video. Do you think 4~5 days in Karuizawa is too long? Should I stay in Tokyo and go to K as a side trip? Looking for a city where I can just bum around this summer.
Annyeong, 4-5 days in Karuizawa might be a bit long if you aren't doing a cottage stay or nature excursion. I think 2 days is enough for the places in this video, the 2nd day is mostly if you want more time for shopping in the outlet. I hope this helps, thanks for watching!
I tried using this as itinerary but it didn’t work. From Kogen church you cannot walk to the Shiraito falls. Google maps shows this as a 2h plus walk and I couldn’t find any buses that would take me there. So we only used the first part of the itinerary
Karuizawa is good throughout the year as you can experience the different seasons. I think Apr-May and Sept-Nov is ideal and most enjoyable. It's 1+ hour by bullet train from Tokyo.
What were your favorite spots in Karuizawa⛪🌲? And would you consider traveling to this place😄?
That circular waterfall towards the end, was definitely my favourite!
I’ve been to Karuizawa at least 3 times but never get tired of it. LOVE THIS PLACE

I’m from Brazil and I love Japan
Great video mate!! Looking forward to more!
Adding this to my list of travel spots next time I’m in Japan.
Great video mate! Keep up the amazing videos. Must see more.
Amazing trip, that stone church was absolutely stunning. Japan never seems to disappoint wherever you go.
Nice video and spot! Bad luck that it seemed to rain hard, but at least that must have kept the crowds away

Great video with so much of details and I will use it a guide a when I visit Karuizawa.
The rain made the nature look so serene!
Nice to know about these off the beaten path places!
Great video. Keep uploading Ernest ❤️
Amazing area! Need to check it out
Definitely worth visiting. It's only 1+ hour outside of Tokyo.
Definitely Karuizawa is on the list for my next eventual trip! That stone church looked quite impressive, I’d say that’d be my favourite.
I love your channel dude. Keep up the great work with these gorgeously filmed, well edited and scripted videos; they're informative AND inspiring. Thank you so much for your hard work and personal creativity.

I’m remembering having curry pan in Asanoya! Thanks for the video :)

Great video, how many days did it take you to make this video? How many days did it take you to see all of these beautiful places?

I live here. Its a decent day trip if you like shopping. Its rather sterile. Million other places I would go to experience Japan.
Yeah, maybe it's not as exciting if you live there. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
This place looks pretty awesome. Who knew that you'd be able to find somewhere like this so close Tokyo.

Hello! I enjoyed your video 👍🏻 What month did you visit Karuizawa? It seemed to rain daily during this time.
Hello, this was in June during the rainy season. Thanks for watching!!
My kinda town
Thanks for the amazing video man ! However, I see a lot of raining and green leaves. What month did you visit karuizawa? How's the weather in October? I am going to visit there within 2nd-3rd week of October :)
Thank you! This was June, which is the rainy season in Japan. Weather in October should be cooler and more pleasant! Cheers
@@ernestkeung duly noted ! Thanks man ! Keep up the good work

reminded me of terrace house
Just missing some theme music
I'm kinda surprised by the many coffee shops. Is it a thing now for the Japanese?
I would like to know the route from Kogen Church to shiraito waterfall.
Did you go swimming in that waterfall? 😆
It's tempting to jump right in isn't it
I tried using this as itinerary but it didn’t work. From Kogen church you cannot walk to the Shiraito falls. Google maps shows this as a 2h plus walk and I couldn’t find any buses that would take me there. So we only used the first part of the itinerary
好美!什么时间去可以看到红色树叶🍂?
I think mid-November is a good time
Other than rainy season which is right month to visit, can we go from Tokyo by train.
Karuizawa is good throughout the year as you can experience the different seasons. I think Apr-May and Sept-Nov is ideal and most enjoyable. It's 1+ hour by bullet train from Tokyo.
Thanks my dear friend, Have great day!
