Making a leather tablet case with notepad and kickstand

- This is another fantastic new pattern made for our friends over at Tandy. A leather tablet notebook that even has the ability to kickstand and make the tablet stand up. This notebook can fit an assortment of different tablets due to it's fancy way they mount in it. Give it a watch and call your local Tandy if you want a copy of this template!
Love your videos and your explanations, they are easy to follow and I learn something each time. I've done several templates and this one did not disappoint!

A thought on the notepad sleeve piece. On your template, you could put 4 holes at the corners of where the sleeve is to be. If you center it top to bottom and measured from the right side, it should be positioned perfectly. BTW, I'm liking this project.

What size is the oblong hole punch? Do you carry them in your store?
I've never seen a Blue or Green cow but 've seen many Black cows.
I saw this template offered on Tandy's website but it says sold out. I don't see it on your website, either. Any idea on when this will be offered again? Would love to have it.
It is exclusive only to them. I cannot sell it on my site. Not sure if it's included on their current order. I'll look into it.
I have it on good authority that a bunch of them were delivered to their warehouse today. Check their website in a few days and I bet they'll be there.
What size notebook is recommended for this project?
The pad of paper is 5x7 I believe. It is called a mini legal pad.

Is it possible to swap sides with the note pad and tablet
Actually yes, the notepad and tablet can both be used as ambidextrous. Simply swap them out during the build.
Where do I buy the edge guide for a Techsew?
A strong magnet 🧲 works also if you cannot get a guide
How do you do this without a sewing machine?
Easy, it just takes a bit longer.
I use 1/8 inch stitches and a eight prong diamond chisel, point eight thread 🧵 and blunt harness needles. I used a 1/8 inch seam allowance to keep uniform and easy, small cap rivets with glue sticks to bind the pieces while setting the stitching lines and sewing 🧵.
I hate to bug you but where do you buy your scalpels and blades and what size . thanks alot
