for a spice pick it’s good in great league where it actually hits pretty decently in limited metas but it just doesn’t do enough damage and doesn’t have good enough coverage to warrant no rockslide or thunderbolt
Nah, it destroys the zacian matchup now. Which means it now corebreaks the dialga zacian core.

DIB prevents Fairies from chilling against Melmetal to regain switch, plus it hits most, though not all of the targets Superpower does with no debuff + STAB. You lose to Excadrill, but that's gonna happen anyway unless the Exca is already low and/or it's the no shield since everyone can sniff out a Superpower these days and leave you toothless
Most of the meta in the league seems to be Anti-Flyer more or less, trying to get Flying Types to avoid Groudon.
Just having Flying Types in general makes Groudon lose most of its value, it still does do quite a lot of damage even with resisted Precipes Blade.
Also the flying types in the ML are just good in general. Lugia being extremely tanky and deals against Dragons with Fast Move. Ho-Oh just hits hard, Yveltal makes Mewtwo and Giratina's cry, Dragonite stops other dragons, Landorus is flying that stops other Flying.
Melmetal is a decent f2p friendly pick for many players, unfortunately struggles against Groudon but with DIB wins against Zacian and can fight back against Groudon/Landorus a bit but doesn't cover against flyers like Ho-Oh without RockSlide. Could do super spice with RockSlide + DIB but losing that Fighting Coverage against Dialga (which is like in almost every team), or Steel types is just not worth the trouble unless you are running 2 other pokemons that has Fighting coverage.
I elite Tmd my level 50 hundo. I have a 15/15/14 that I'm going to also max out and ill just give that one the Superpower/Rockslide moveset. This way i have on of each. For GL though I don't see how Iron Bash really helps it considering RockSlide would be important for those Flyers.
Rock Slide is definitely worth it against Flyers, they are everywhere.

Do you recommending purifying your Apex Lugia for pvp?
Lugia’s greatest strength is its bulk. I think both Ho Oh and Lugia prefer their non apex forms.
Apex Lugia for Shadow is very rare. Most people would recommend keeping it as a Shadow while some may prefer Purified. (also preference on that blue aura)
But in honesty, if you can just go with a normal Lugia stay with it. Purified Lugia does not have any change in PvP whatsoever with Aeroblast++ as it only affects PvE.
Shadow Lugia is not really recommended as you take 20% more damage which is what you do not want on a extremely tanky pokemon.
Purified Lugia is very pretty with that blue aura which some people may want but don't want to regret purifying.
(Assuming both pokemons are 100% IV)
Lugia takes 48.1% Damage from a Shadow Ball by a Mewtwo
Shadow version will take 57.6% Damage from a Shadow Ball
That extra 9.5% difference is very big for a extremely tanky pokemon.
Dragonite's fast move of Dragon Breath deal 1.3%(1.9% as Shadow Lugia) per 0.5s on Lugia which is an extra 0.6% more damage.

I've been so confused because when I double move my melmetal it gave it double iron bash for free when I thought it was legacy
If you bought the professor willow special reserch im pretty sure one of the rewrds was being able to automatically get DIB with evey melmetal you ever evolve AN not have to use a elite tm for it..
I love master league, I just hate niantic's continued mismanagement of it.

Not in pvp but in raids it know aeroblast ++ which deals more damage in raids.
I think it doesnt work in masters, good in gl or maybe ultra.
It may work but its really depends on team comp as well, but Melmetal alone without flying coverage is not good. Against teams with no flyers it will do great though but most people will have atleast one flyer due to Groudon being everywhere.
