How has your journey been?? I hope you have been finding success!! I just created my LLC and am trying to market/network. It’s definitely a grind. Any advice?
Don’t forget costs associated with registering your business, the iPad or iPhone you will run Spectora on( how did you forget that!!!), logo/ brand creation, business cards, attire, radon/ancillary services equipment/testing, workman’s comp insurance. My insurance from Inspector Pro is $1700 starting out not including W/C. I’m pushing closer to $9K, but I went with the latest/best offered. Great homage to KDub!!
Here in NC, class $1000, field training ,$1600, exam fee was like $80 i think, going to join INTERNACHI at some point $400 to get some extra Certs, getting insurance, taking the SC exam at some point because i live on the border, setting up a business license......I assume I'll be $5000 deep till i see any return. And that's with me knowing an inspector that will let me start some part time work.
I have the tools. I went through InterNachi and I got certified and my license in the state of Florida through them. I just started my LLC. I’m struggling to get clients/realtors. Everybody I talk to already has someone they’re working with and it’s someone they’ve been working with for year or I don’t hear back from the realtors I have been reaching out to. Any advice on how I can tap into a real estate market of new realtors? Or what I can do to start making money with inspecting? I poured a lot of money and time into this and I’m really excited about it. I just don’t know how to start my own business with this
"3-4-5 Realtors feeding you jobs" ... reality is, that to be full-time you'll need 30-40 realtors, unless they are "All-Star Agents" who feed you weekly!,
Wasn't intentional, we were trying to get the most realistic idea of upfront costs. But it's true, things like training, insurance, and software can be paid a variety of different ways
I just signed up for ICA. Was this a dumbdumb move? One of the big selling points was the free software. Is it good or no? Also i have no immediate connection but i do KNOW some people im just not especially close with them.
@@Suitslippers I just finished my course work for Florida, it wasn't a terrible course, if you dont mind the boring video model, the guys voice put me to sleep many times. other than that its really a read along powerpoints and take quizzes. Im looking into InterNachi rn as a better more comprehensive option.
@Suitslippers been slacking its good but hard to be dedicated with a full time job and being a father. Id say you need ab an hour a day at least and you can finish it in the time they advertise
Legitimately the best and most honest up front cost list. Very helpful. You went quick but mentioned more than every one else. Now I realize home inspection may not be right for me at the time. I only have money for half of these requirements.
Cheap. I’m a cert generac tech and certified hvac tech and that plus tools I have 5000 in just that. Now I want this so I can be self employed for this and hvac
I’m in about 8k right now with school, testing, licensing, insurance, tools, Spectora plan, website, marketing.
That was my about my initial start up cost. It was well worth it. Hope you are successful.
We loooove this kind of positive energy :)

Shelby did you start a home inspection business? I just completed my online class and will be taking the state exam soon.
Weekend inspections! Thank you, that’s all I can do right now, I appreciate your saying that!
Good on you! A lot of our inspectors started as part-timers.
@@Spectora Thank you!!!
I am pretty sure you guys are one of the most expensive software and worth every penny. Don't shy away.

Is the code for the 30 day trial with internachi still active?
Great vid
I’m looking to do home inspection part-time or weekends. Any tips will help.
I think the cost list was a little misleading since it co-mingled annual and monthly costs.

How do your experience go with ICA? I am looking into courses for NC

The internachi link is giving me an error 404 unfortunately
sorry about that, try nachi.org/trial
@@Spectora still didn't work however you can enter a code once you get to the billing portion of the membership

I think If you sign up for the $50 a month nachi course lets you take the test for free if you sign up with them

Where can we share our software improvement suggestions? email?
Can always go to spectora.canny.io/changelog
Your #s don’t add up to what it’s cost or what’s required in Texas. I’m going to call this clickbait.
